Stalled :(

I finished C25K a few weeks ago and was very proud and optimistic. Done a few consolidation runs since then but my foot going numb 20 minutes in was getting me down and I was starting to get niggles in my knee. Basically started to make excuses for not going out, tried to move over to cycling a bit but unless it’s a perfect day it’s not quite hitting the spot.

Went to a proper running shop last week and forked out loads of money on a new pair of shoes. He reckoned my last ones had had it and weren’t wide enough but who knows? Going to a run together club thing tonight for C25K and returning to running, am very very nervous as have not been out for over a week and not in my new shoes and hate exercising in front of others but feel like I need someone to boss me about a bit or I’ll be headed back to the couch. Not convinced it’s the right move but we shall see. Just writing this to pass the last 5 minutes before I have to leave. Looks like it’s about to tip it down and I feel dreadful haha. Wish me luck!

Have a good run... if you’re uncomfortable running in front of other people, run behind them!

So how did it go? How was it running with other people? We’re the new trainers fantastic or a flop???

Just back and it was great actually. Lovely man and a v small lovely group of people. Lots of tips and little things I was doing wrong. Looking forward to the next one! Hurray!

The trainers I’m not quite so sure about, I just can’t quite work out what’s going on with my right leg and whether it’s the shoe or my leg that’s at fault. I was running on grass tonight which I’ve not don’t before but my right knee started hurting and then my right hip. Hopefully the running guy can help me work out what’s going on. Just hope the trainers are ok after all the money I’ve spent on them!

Thanks for all the luck :)
