I'm really nervous of going for the surgery as I dnt want to end up with a

I am as you can imagine very nervous about having this procedure especially that I have been warned that may end up with a

Healthy New Year (part 2) 💋
I was seen by a stoma nurse who explained all about
colostomy
bags etc and drew lovely pictures on my abdomen. When I came round from the surgery, I was told that an 8cm piece of my colon had been removed but they were able to join the ends together. No stoma.

Endo and the bowel
He said any more surgery could result in needing to remove part of the bowel which he is hoping to avoid (certainly at this stage) as that could in turn result in me needing a
colostomy
bag (something I'd also like to avoid if possible)!

I finally had post-surgery consultation!
The next surgery I am told is a major and will take between 4-6 hours and what scared me is when I was told about a possibility of
colostomy
should my bowel be punctured. Has anyone done this sort of lap and not had their bowel punctured? Also if you had your bowel punctured, how was the stoma bag?

What do you think is the most important support after leaving ICU?
I had Acute Respiratory Failure after surgery to reverse a
colostomy
I had in place for 3 years. I literally couldn't go anywhere for long due to sudden incontinence that took ages to get under control. A dietician might have proved useful too.

Endometriosis surgery resulted in a colostomy
A week later however I ended up in hospital and having an emergency operation which has resulted in a temporary
colostomy
bag. My bowel had been left too thin to cope with food and there was a hole in it also.

hysterectomy for stage 4 endo?
I think it will be a bit more complicated for me if i do go ahead because my bowel is still stuck to the back of my womb and they left it so as to not risk the need for
colostomy
.

colostomy
assoc. Having a stoma is no big deal. It may be temporary for three months to let the intestines heal and will be reversed. I have opted for an ileostomy for incontinence. It will at least give me control over the toilet visits and I can ditch the nappies! Be brave, you will be fine.

Colostomy surgery
I'm having surgery in 3 days, I'm so scared. My diagnosis is colovaginal fistula after a hysterectomy 20 years ago, and C sections prior to that. I'm having adheliosis, (lesions removed) from bladder vagina and colon. There are 2 surgeons both doing their bit. They have said there maybe a stoma in

Shoulder/Neck/Head Pain
I have a bowel issue for which I am about to embark on a
colostomy
but I don't think this is related. Do you guys have any ideas as to what I can do? My GP seems to be at a loss. He adjusts my medication but nothing helps.
