I had a colectomy 4 years ago due to Crohn's Disease. I just had a completion proctectomy last week. Still recovering from the last surgery but doing well overall. I'm glad I had the colectomy; life is much better than it was before. I'm not familiar with the other surgery/procedure, so I can't help you there.
