Stage IV Endo - hysterectomy
I have lots of concerns (surgery,
colostomy
, pain, hrt) but my main concern is that I know the surgery won't get rid of the Endo so will it flair up and cause me pain more frequently?

Starting my journey....
When I was a child I had a lot of operations on my bowels and wore a
colostomy
bag until I was 2 years old which has left my tummy with very bad scar tissue!

Some good news!
Okay, so I've got no hair left, and a
colostomy
bag but it could be a lot worse. I have just had to make friends with it. I used to be a curly redhead (out of a bottle) so it will be interesting watching my hair grow back. But I am now going to continue on my path and enjoy every single day.

Hysterectomy
They said that there is a significant chance of being left with a
colostomy
bag. I am absolutely terrified of this operation and the recovery process afterwards and really need others to talk to who understand.

A setback in control of pain.
Obviously seen all over the web about people wanting / getting
colostomy
. I will mention this to the doctor and gauge their reaction. I don't want it now, far from it. I just want to know if this pain carries on for ever there is something I could do. Any responses really welcomed! Thanks guys :)

Advice please
But that soon turned to adhesiolysis surgery because they found severe abdominal adhesions. 3 hours later they abandoned surgery because they couldn't do anymore other than a
colostomy
bag. They found endometriosis on my bowel..

Colostomy problems - parastomal hernia?
I have a permanent
colostomy
following debulking surgery in November 2012. Never knew I was going to have one so it was a bit of a shock. I must admit I have never accepted it and hate it with every bone in my body. I don't irrigate although this is something I would like to do.

What to choose
If things go wrong then I could end up with a
colostomy
bag. I have two young children at home and a teenager who I want to be able to run around with and have fun. I just don't know what to do for the best, what would you ladies do if in my situation? All advice gratefully recieved.

Avastin
Now I have a wound that is healing and a
colostomy
bag. As soon as I heal I will have anither operation to reverse the
colostomy
. I have not seen my oncologist since July so I have no idea about my stage 3 ovarian cancer. I should see him again in Dec.

CA125 on the up, CT scan shows new growth in/on liver and a spot next to the spleen. No more Avastin - what next?
Diagnosed 3c ovarian cancer back in July 2012, had debulking November 2012, ended up with permenant
colostomy
:) Started 2nd line gemcitabine/carboplatin plus the wonder drug Avastin, back in November 2013, after progression in the lymph nodes.

psp peg tube dilema...advice + experiences please?
Has anyone had experience of having both a peg and a
colostomy
bag? I feel that it would be awful to have one food pumping food in to your belly and another draining out your waste. I'm very scared of what the future holds for him. I would just like some peoples experiences and views. ozg

My Endometriosis Nightmare and how I almost died from it!
He then had to remove more colon and give me a
colostomy
along with a large open wound from my belly button to my pelvic bone due to cauterizing the bleeding blood vessels.

Jaci
My daughter Jaci suffered from OC, eventually she had
colostomy
and we were advised she would be in ITU for 3 days, however we had phone call 12 hrs later to say she had been moved to acute stroke unit due to emergencies in ITU. She then got infection and passed away.

Going back to a bag.
They are operating, back to
colostomy
, whip out the ovary and hell why not, do a full hysterectomy. It's just now sinking in, the op is in about six weeks. I'm scared what I will end up with!

"Colostomy bag bikini photograph seen by nine million" Have you?
Hi everyone, just wondering if you have all seen these pics! I am adding a link to a BBC article that talks about it....I think is brilliant for awareness, and clearly has help her as well: "When I first had the bags fitted I was devastated - the reaction to this photo has really helped me accept them
