Long story short! I’ve been on 2.5 of each now for over two years & im over 18months clear in sinus rhythm after a successful ablation in feb 22 I’ve recently had an eco which shows heart in full health, I’ve been through the genetics route which concluded no heart disease or family history to worry

Swollen feet
I am in permanent AF and take Bisoprolol. For a few weeks the tops of my feet have been swollen. In the past I have suffered with swollen ankles which would go down overnight, but the swelling on top of my feet doesn't seem to change. I have also started to get cramp in my calves at night. Fluctuating BP
Hi , I have a pacemaker due to heart block and non compaction. I take among other things bisoprolol and candesartan. Lately my blood pressure fluctuates between 103/68 and 146/102 , I’m getting headaches quite often and get a bit light headed at times. I’m going to try and speak to the gp but not really

Becoming a grumpy old git !
Hi all, Just an enquiry .... one of my rare ones. It concerns a possible side effect of medication. In the last 6 months or so I have changed three precribed medication. I list these as below ....
Simvastatin
was started in mid 2007 and taken continuously until, my Surgery Pharmacist asked

Bisoprolol, bananas, and avocados!
Hi all, apologies for the very specific question but I ask it because I think there could be a definitive answer as opposed to the understandably frequent one that we're all different. I managed my loan paroxysmal Afib with various supplements and lifestyle changes but I eventually succumbed to a beta

2 lead pacemaker to CRT PM
HiHad a 2 lead PM fitted 21 months ago following AV node ablation and since then I have developed heart failure and AF. Had three visits to heart failure clinic and been prescribed ramipril, bisoprolol and dapagliflozin. Cardiologist has stated a short term therapy of amiodarone may help get me back

What to do?
I recently had the strength of my Adizem meditation increased from 120mg to 180mg daily as my BP was increasingly higher than usual. This medication was prescribed to control my blood pressure and help my heart rhythm. I have noticed I have mild swelling round my ankles and slight puffiness of my feet

KWELLS - ok with other meds?
A little advice from fellow members please, especially any chemists amongst you. I'm diagnosed AFib 2021, well controlled with meds. I take a cocktail of Bisoprolol 2.5, Apixaban 5 x2daily, Atorvastatin 20. Am I ok to take Kwells for motion sickness? Only to take 1 or max 2 during the day, and only

Hives and itching.
Hi all, I have been diagnosed with afib in August 2023 and currently take Edoxaban and my Bisoprolol was increased from 1.25mg to 2.5mg. Mitral Valve Regurgitation?
Hi all! After seeing a cardiologist yesterday for the 3 month post Ablation check up....(just over a year after the procedure,) I'm told that during that procedure they found that I have a leak in one of the valves in my heart which has caused a slight murmer. Now, nobody told me any of this at the

Finasteride and ED/ libido
I’m 71 type 2 diabetes angina BPH enlarged prostate. I ditched Bisoprolol - total loss of energy and tiredness. Stopped Amlipodine as don’t have high BP usual metformin aspirin and Omeprazole. Very difficult to archive solid erection has been getting worse for years. I think it’s the Finasteride.

The arrhythmia nurse wants me to reduce my bisoprolol dose after my cardioversion - fear of early relapse.
I had a 2nd successful cardioversion 5 days ago, and the arrhythmia nurse told me to reduce my dose of bisoprolol immediately from 7.5mg to 5mg as my heart rate was around 50bpm. However, unless I maintain NSR for 6 weeks after the cardioversion, they won't offer another one, so I'm reluctant to reduce

Bisoprolol and weight gain ?
Greetings all, I haven’t spoke for sometime on here so I hope your all coping well. The main reason I’m back on is to ask you all about Bisoprolol and weight gain. Is it true and how bad can it get. In the past couple of months I have resumed excercising in my 100 ft back garden ( subject to the monsoon

My bisoprolol has been reduced and doxazosin added and for the first time it was mentioned thst I have spasms although my tortuosity shouldn’t be giving

post heart attack and stent insertion
my partner had heart attack and stent inserted at the end of January. Nothing but trouble since in that it seems the medication has some effect in constant dizzy spells and light heads, so extreme that he cannot leave the house and isn't eating as much etc. He has been taken off ramipril altogether.
