Bisoprolol
I've been taking Bisoprolol for over 10 years. I started getting severe nightmares where I would fight hit out and I even threw myself out of the bed. I can't sleep with my wife anymore in case I hurt her. Over the last year I have also developed low blood pressure with readings of 79/40. I also started

Bisoprolol And Asthma
I have recently seen a couple of posts about taking/not taking Bisoprolol if you have asthma, but does that relate to those inhalers containing Salbutamol sulfate I have been taking 5mg of Bisoprolol twice a day for the past 12 years. (Paroxysmal Afb) plus the same of Ramipril and Doxazosin. Some

Bisoprolol side effects
I've been on Bisoprolol for 6 weeks and my physical health seems to have worsened, along with my mental health. Just wondering if anyone else had similar experiences while on it? 1. Very breathless, dizzy and unable to focus my vision clearly. 2. Anxiety. I am 64 yo and have never experienced anxiety

Waiting for ablation
I started in Afib June 2022 after covid, was diagnosed in August and put on Edoxaban and bisoprolol by my GP. In October I was seen by a specialist and put on Amiodarone (I've mentioned the side effects before.. thanks for the responses) and put on the waiting list for a cardioversion. That was done

Switch from Bisaprolol to Calcium Blockers
Hi all, new to the site. My cardiologist has just switched me off Bisaprolol 5 mg as they had stopped working properly to Tildiem and Ranolazine. He said it was OK to stop the Bisoprolol cold turkey as I had only been on it a few months, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced their heart

Cough lozenges
I’ve got a tickly cough and want to suck a lozenge in the hope it will sooth it. I’ve got some Wilko lozenges that are Amylmetacresol. Does anyone know if they are ok to use with Warfarin and Bisoprolol - and of course Afib ! I can’t find this ingredient listed in drug interaction websites so I’m guessing

Bisoprolol withdrawal
Hello all, I hope you are doing well. I was prescribed with a beta blocker 10 years ago for my vasovagal syncope, I had really bad tachycardia then, fortunately I see that I do not have this any more. I started to wean off this med in late Dec. but 5 days later I was very dizzy so I started taking

Coming off Amiodarone
After developing Afib (thanks to Covid) I was put on amiodarone, bisoprolol and edoxaban. A terrible two to three weeks followed without a wink of sleep getting the amiodarone into my system. I had a cardioversion a few months later (delayed thanks to doctors and nurses strikes). That worked and I felt

Afib and slow heart rate.
Hi.I'm a 59 year old man, I've recently been diagnosed, after an a&e admission, with an afib episode of 160 BPM. I've known, I've had an issue for at least 10 years but it finally came to a head. So I've been given apixaban, ramipril and bisoprolol. My main issue is a slow resting heart rate. Rarely

Coming off Beta Blockers and Eplerenone?
My HA was over a year ago and I am reasonably pleased with my recovery, as measured by physical activity levels with no discomfort during exertion. I have a GP meds review coming up, and I would like to know if suggesting a plan to eventually come off Bisoprolol (1.25mg/day) and Eplerenone (25mg/day

I need a professional advice
Hello, I was diagnosed with AFib in May 2023 by paramedics, a home visit. Since then I had X-ray and scan Regarding my GP: nothing was decided on treatment, nor was I given proper advice by my GP. There was no attempt to organise an appointment with a specialist. The paramedics' diagnoses (May

Had appointment with cardiologist- update
We had appointment today with cardiologist which we booked privately. In my previous post I said I’d update on how it went. The cardiologist has decided that he will put a heart rate monitor on mum for a week, and see what’s going on. I explained the current anxiety symptoms were so frequent now, like

So fed up
I was first diagnosed in May 23 with PAF and Bisoprolol kept everything under control under until another AFib episode in October. Since then I have been on Flecainide 50g morning and night and bisopropol 2.5 morning and night. I don’t feel my heart as much but my Apple Watch is showing an average

Ramdom flips from bradycardia to tachycardia.
First Post. Hi everyone I'm a 64 year old male livng in Yorkshire, England. I first became aware of issues with my heart over 40 years ago, my wife noticed my heart would miss a beat every now and again. At some point a doctor told me I had an ectopic beat and that it wasn't anything to worry about,

Sleeping with ectopics
I have been getting ectopic beats for the last three weeks. At times it can be as many as 1 every 30 normal beats, at other times I don’t get one for hours. No idea what the triggers are. Already on BP meds, including Bisoprolol. Went to see GP last week, she sent me off to ED where an ECG, blood tests

amiodarone
Was admitted via A&E to hospital last October with fast AF, 174 bpm., Sob, high bp. Because of other underlying problems with CKD, doc put me on Amiodarone 200mg daily, along with Nebivolol bi-daily, replacing Bisoprolol. Was discharged after 6 days when heart rate was consistently below 80bpm. Now

Afib returned temporarily?
I had my second ablation about 18 months ago and have been in NSR since but then last night…. My Fitbit showed I was in afib from about 3 am, my heart rate varied from 48 to 176 and I woke up feeling very jittery. My heart rate has been all over the place again today and I feel quite light headed. My
