Finasteride and ED/ libido

I’m 71 type 2 diabetes angina BPH enlarged prostate. I ditched Bisoprolol - total loss of energy and tiredness. Stopped Amlipodine as don’t have high BP usual metformin aspirin and Omeprazole. Very difficult to archive solid erection has been getting worse for years. I think it’s the Finasteride. Sadly my brain still wants sex. At best I get an orgasm and fluid after 20 minutes no chance of penetration.

Has any one else similar experiences and if so how do you cope with a lack of real sex?

I see you are on metformin. Type 2 diabetes, especially if sugars not well controlled. can be a cause of ED.

Bisoprolol if at the wrong dose can totally crater everything,might be worth asking for a lower dose, if poss. But if you've already dumped it that's not your problem. I believe there are alternatives to finasteride but I'm not sure what.I presume you're on some kind of ED drug?

Hi thanks for your reply I take Cialisis works at 10 mg. But indigestion and headache unpleasant side effects. 5 mg doesn’t work.

There's a massive community of people who have been harmed exactly like this by Finasteride and a big volunteer group who's main goal is to spread awareness and find a cure for those harmed by the medication. Search up PFSnetwork on Google. Pfs is Post Finasteride Syndrome.

Is your doctor aware you have discontinued some of your prescribed medicines?

Yes. Consultant advised dropping Bisoprolol. I advised doctors pharmacist re amlopidine they asked me to do a 7 day blood pressure check and agreed it was normal. I also asked about aspirin and agreed to continue with it as a preventative
