Hi I'm 15 months post quadruple heart bypass and doing well ,I'm on anvostatin 80mg,asprin 75mg allopurinol 300mg,amloadpine 5mg and bisoprolol 2,5mg ,just checked letter cardio surgeon sent gp saying he wanted amloadpine stopped after 6month post bypass and bisoprolol 5aken down gradually from 3.75 to 1.25 then maybe stopped ,had appointment with pharmacist at gp surgery and she read letter asked me to take bp for a week and average was around 118/72 with pulse around 65 ,saw gp today he read results and asked if I wanted to drop down bisoprolol to 1.25 or stop amloadpine 5mg completely, we went for stopping amloadpine as bisoprolol seems to look after your heart making it work less ,then I need to do bp after week or so to see if its gone up ,has anyone else had any bad side effects from stopping amlodipine 5mg I been on it for about 10 years long before heart bypass ,also gp checked my cold leg above ankle next 5o scar and was sure it was nerve damage causing cold spot when I sit down and drive sometimes
Any responses regarding stopping amlodipine would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for taking time to read this
