Dronedarone - 10 Month Update
I have been using dronedarone since my poor experiences on Bisoprolol. See link. https://healthunlocked.com/afassociation/posts/146725273/bisoprolol-experiences I am delighted to say that things are fine so far. I still get some breakthroughs of about once or twice per month for a few hours. Most importantly

New ectopics on reducing beta blockers after 2nd Ablation in Feb
Just wanting to compare experiences. Never really struggled with ectopics till now. Thought it may have been 'low flutter', as that's what I had after being put on Flecainide before 2nd ablation, with x3 circuits of arrythmia. Persistent Time before I was in persistent AF. Anyone else similar ?

AF & ablation! back to sport.
So! Rather than bore anyone I will just try & recap my journey as quick as possible, after many test & appointments I finally got the final evaluation in August 2021, I was told to quit sports due to a mri showing mild dilated cardiomyopathy along with paroxysmal AF & LBB (left branch block). I was Put

2nd Cardioversion
Been off radar for few weeks so hope everyone is ok Just come out of 2nd cardioversion in 8 weeks - first lasted 4 days then I got a chest infection and also wasn’t on Flecainide prior to it. Second one today and already on Flecainide and for the last 6 weeks I’ve been on 12.5 bisoprolol - over those

Switch from Diltiazem to Atenolol for SVT
Hi I have been on 90mg slow release Diltiazem twice a day for SVT, after being unable to tolerate 5mg Bisoprolol. Still not seeing much improvement. Cardiologist has written to gp saying I can either increase Diltiazem to 120mg twice daily, or switch to Antenolol. He feels that beta blockers are a better

Here we go again!!
So tonight I’ve gone into another episode of AF. My first was in September and so far it’s been about one a month but this time it’s only been 3 weeks. I have health anxiety and have been having CBT for that along with meds (which I needed to get by) I’m only on Bisoprolol so far and am going to call

Beta Blockers
Hi I’ve posted many times in the past but not for some time My question is could my beta blocker Bisoprolol fumerate 1.25 mg be causing my rls? The beta blocker was prescribed some 12 years ago for my svt ( super ventricular tachycardia and has worked well all these years BUT if my memory serves me

Shortness of breath dyspnea after ablation
Hey, I had my ablation more than three weeks ago. I more or less have similar post ablation issues, with an exception. I have shortness of breath (dyspnea) and some tight throat more than what should be expected, almost a month after the ablation now, it is even more than pre-ablation. It gets worse

Pre diabetic
Hello. I had a mild heart attack in October and now have been told I'm pre diabetic. Would the tablets I'm on have anything to do with this? Candesartan, Bisoprolol, Aspirin, Eplerenone, Omeprazole, Ticagrelor & newly started Rosuvastatin (as ALT level was high on previous statin)?

Post Ablation Dyspnea (Shortness of Breath) and Skipping Beats
Hey All! My quick resume follows; Diagnosed in June 2020 with Afib. Had some but relatively mild symptoms. I was on metoprolol and propafenon for over a year. At one follow up visit, a doctor decided to cut the medication and I was medication free for a year. Then during another 6-month follow up

All well in Wilson World...
Morning campers! Just a quick call in. All is well,NSR still holding 100%. No missed beats . I am checking my pulse dailybin disbelief! I drove a short distance yesterday with no problem. My heart rate is around 50-55which is normal for me on 2.5 Bisoprolol. I hope to get off that or reduce it asap ,

Ectopic Heart Beats
My 24 hour holter monitor results are in. Doctor explained no AFib but evidence of Ectopic heartbeat. He didn't suggest any treatment as I am on Bisoprolol already. GP suggests live with it and report if gets uncomfortable. He didn't tell me the burden figure but I suspect low - when at rest. So far

New prescription - Diltiazem
Hello I have been taken off Bisoprolol due to aches in shoulder blades (also have mild asthma) and now prescribed 200mg Diltiazem. However, during a recent visit to GP, he said I didn’t really need beta blockers as blood pressure and heart rate were in normal range but I then received a letter from cardiologist

What's the point of taking Flecainide if it gives you flutter?
I'm wondering whether to consider packing in Flecainide as all its seems to have done is replace Afib with atrial flutter and the initial benefits appear to be waining, especially now that I'm supposed to take Bisoprolol too. Has anyone else decided to live with Afib on no drugs (other than anticoagulants

Bisoprolol zombie
After initial amazing success with Flecainide controlling my Afib, which gave me my energy back for work, social and family life, I'm now in Flecainide induced flutter which is still better than Afib. However, I'm now on a very low dose of Bisoprolol (1.25mg) to prevent the risk of ventricular arrhythmia

Bisoprolol
I’ve been taking Bisoprolol after my pacemaker fitted Feb 2022 and Ablation in March 2022 I have suffered with ear congestion. loss of voice. nasal congestion. Plus sore eyes. I’ve seen my Cardiologist and she’s reduced the strength to 2.5mg twice daily. Has anyone else had a similar problems. Thanks
