Hi can anyone advise if I should continue on Bisoprolol after an ablation as I have been taken off it entirely by the cardiologist and my heart rate is still high 100 mostly ?

Swapping from Bisoprolol to Nebivolol 1.25
Will try Nebivolol as Biso giving me too many side effects as outlined in previous posts. I've been on Biso 1.25 and have Nebiv 2.5 which I will cut in half. But I've noticed that a few folks have said they swap from the 1.25 Biso to 2.5Nebiv . Is this because nebivolol is weaker? I'll take the half

Scary experience with medication.
As someone with past heart conditions, I take several pills morning and nighttime. These include Bisoprolol which is a very tiny tablet. I often find this gets stuck on the back of my tongue so need water to flush it down. I also suffer from acid reflux which causes me to hiccup quite a lot. A few days

Pvcs all day and chest discomfort
Hi I am a 50yr old female and have had svt and ectopic beats for the last almost thirty years. My ectopic beats are all day every day and are caused by changes in air for example the wind outside windows that are open and steam from a pan or kettle. I have found them worse now than they have ever been

Controlled heart rate?
Hi, I finally managed to get a phone call with my Cardiologist who performed a successful CV back in October but I soon went back into Persistent Afib. Since then I have come off Bisoprolol ( breathlessness) and Verapamil ( possible adverse reaction), all in a previous post. The outcome from my call

AF and cardioversion
My Doctor isn't keen on progressing a cardioversion for me to fix my AF. Her reasoning is that I am prone to AF and that the most dangerous time is when you flip from normal heartbeat to AF. I had a cardioversion 5/6 years ago which did fix my AF. Started getting paroxysmal AF about a year ago and persistent

Beta blockers and sickness bug
My little boy has a sickness bug and I too am now sick and have diarrhoea. I haven't actually vomitted yet though. Just diarrhoea, terrible stomach pain, feel sick and the urge to be sick. Is it ok to still take my bisoprolol?

Released documents from Pfizer on side effects
I wrote here a number of weeks ago about my problems with pruritis and lichen planus. I was looking for advice about drugs I could use to relieve the symptoms given that I’m on flecainide and bisoprolol. I got some great advice so thanks My purpose in posting today is related to the cause of my symptoms

Coming off beta blockers to have holter monitor fitted...side effects?
Just got appt for holter monitor and cardiologist said I had to come off BBs in order to ascertain abnormal heart rates etc. I've been on bisoprolol for under a month and by the appt date it will be approx 2months on them. Will the gates of hell be unleashed as adrenals kick in and I'll be back at A&

Thoughts on Dr. Malcolm Kendrick?
I am new to this site, a retired Canadian nurse with high blood pressure and frequent PVC issues. I have read all of the British GP Dr. Kendrick’s books, and am curious about what sense others may have of his opinions. I know he has been vehemently dismissed by the medical establishment as anti big

Reduction bisoprolol but still have side effects
I was put on 7.5 mg biso 8weeks ago after a pacemaker. Reduced to 5 Due to awful stomach problems. Dr agreed to reduce further to 3.75 10 days ago.stomach problems resolved but still light headed and tired. Throughout all this time my resting heart rate has remained constant at 61. Does anyone think

My arrhythmia pattern is intermittent. It seems to build up over a few days then really busy for 10/14 days. Peace in between. Advice please
I’m due to see arrhythmia nurse soon after a successful cardio version in November. Before I see the consultant they’ve insisted I have a 24hr tape. But I’m having 3 things going on arrhythmia wise none of which are continuous. All these are intermittent I have busy rhythm weeks but also quiet weeks

I’m a 75 year old in permanent AF. Started way back in 2008 but these days only mild symptoms and being treated by drugs. Since 2008 have had several cardio versions, a single ablation and an aortic valve replaced twice (2008 & 2020). I’m sure that my meds are a fairly standard ‘package’ - Warfarin,

Feeling pressured into ablation!
I met with an EP in South Birmingham today (NHS) referred by my private cardiologist. He was extremely curt, didn’t listen and delighted in telling me that PAF would invariably turn into permanent afib and ablation was my only choice but it probably wouldn’t work first time and came with all sorts of
