I’m now in limbo! As usual I went online, to re-order my prescribed anticoagulant (rivaoxaban) but had disappeared from my Patient Accesss login (a Uk site used for communication to GP etc) I rang the surgery (prescription secretary) and after a bit of a search thru my data was told that there was a

Hyperthyroid - emotional day
Hello everyone Such a sad day today, a lot of crying with worry I wish I could come to terms with having graves. If I could just stop scaring myself with ‘what ifs’ - what if I get this symptom that symptom. I feel sad for my old self the Sam who never had a thyroid issue or graves - I need to shake

Flecainide for VT
Hi, Is anyone taking Flecainide for VT ? I have been suffering with PVCs for the last 3 years. I’m currently taking 10mg of Nebivolol which don’t seem to be working. I have previously taken Varapamil and Bisoprolol which didn’t work either. My EP has suggested trialing Flecainide first before going down

Medication questions
Evening All So I have a Dickie ticker and so far have had four episodes that have required mild shocking to reduce my bpm. The last one caused a clot to go into my brain and led to a mini stroke. Since that they have increased my flecanide and bisoprolol and also now put me on apixiban . My question

Bisoprolol v Nebivalol
Hi All, Many times on here I have seen people recommend nebivalol over bisoprolol and people say there are far less side effects etc. I have been putting up with bisoprolol for 6 months now and my cardiologist said if I wanted to change, he would be happy for me to switch to Nebivalol. Even though before

Bisoprolol or apixaban causing tummy pain??
I did post about bloating and got some good general answers thanks. However I did not have bloating until about a week after starting bisoprolol and apixaban, and assume it is one of these drugs I wonder if anyone had drug swapped because of tummy pains? GP practice very difficult to get hold of because

First degree AV block - can it be caused by bisoprolol?
Hi All, This morning I did a ‘random’ Kardia (6L) ECG and it came back that I was in sinus Rythm with wide QRS. It was a one off and five mins later I did another one (and many others since) and all in normal SR. I sent it off for a clinician review as I’ve been worried about it all day and they’ve come

Hi has the beta blocker bisoprolol worked to heal anyones heart palpitations. I am living with heart palpitations that are setting of my anxiety and have been prescribed these but scared to take more meds if they aren’t going to work. Donedarone and ectopics
I was taken off Bisoprolol and put on Donedarone 400mg morning and evening a week ago . I have had some difficulties. My BP has gone up -mostly systolic, my pulsatilla Tinnitus has gotten worse - it’s now so loud that I cannot sleep. However, probably the worst is a large number of ectopics mostly

10 days afib now finished HR too low?
After 10 days of seeing heart rate mainly over 100 but zooming up and down, it is now on the 50s and little energy to move. Presumable the Bisoprolol working too well. Is this normal? I am not faint or dizzy

Low heart rate - high dose bisoprolol
Good morning. I’m going to contact my cardiologist about this but I’m currently taking 10mg of bisoprolol daily following some complications (including high HR) after an ablation. I feel fine, if a bit tired, but my heart rate is floating around 50bpm which seems a bit low to me. Has anyone else had

Does this sound like POTS?
Hi 👋🏻 Wonder if anyone could help me? 6 months ago I had covid and since then I have been suffering with extreme anxiety feelings (like a physical sensation in my stomach) and fast heart rate. Had an SVT (210 bpm) for an hour in November and ended up in hospital and out on Bisoprolol 1.25mg. Since
