Results of CT coronary angiography
Results today from my CT scan-calcium score is 0 🙌 but due to high heart rate didn't have complete CT coronary angiography. Consultant said this is quite reassuring and means there is a very low likelihood of significant CAD and has made no further follow up arrangements. I can also stop my Bisoprolol

Error with meds
Hi. I forgot to take my meds yesterday morning. Didn't realise until I felt strange and was about to take my evening meds at 10.30pm. So I took morning meds. I now need to take meds again in order to bring back to morning dose over two days. I am fine taking flecainide and blood thinner since I take

Feeling Really down
Sorry, but a lot of members here will know that this is not me to moan. I've been in hospital with pneumonia, high heart rate and covid. It all started at the beginning of September when I awoke one morning with a soreness in my heart. I thought this is it I'm having a heart attack, dialled 999 and paramedics

Sotalol and bisoprolol
Last few years I've been pretty stable. But the af is returning. I've been earmarked for an ablation over the next few months. I take bisoprolol to keep things level but not so helpful now. My EP has offered me sotalol. But without a pip. Standalone only. If in af I take extra bisoprol pretty quickly

Nosebleeds on meds
Hello. I was just wondering if anyone has had any insight. I’m taking ramipril, Spironolactone, bisoprolol and omeprazole and over the past week I’ve been waking up with a slight nosebleed. Nothing major but interested to hear if anyone experienced similar? Thanks x

Flecainide & eating timing
Hi All I'm taking 100mg Flecainide twice a day and 1.25mg Bisoprolol once a day. I have had 6months relatively AF free since starting this dosage 6 months ago, now have daily battles with AF/ low uneven rhythm as the Flec wears off and between meals. Trying to stick with empty stomach guidelines (

How long does Bisoprolol take to work
Hi everyone. New to this forum. Diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation just this weekend, 19 hours in hospital assessment unit, & treatment with Bisoprolol (10mg). Am on 10mg daily now, and have taken today's. Heart is still way too fast though - 90-110 resting. Any idea when it should revert to normal?

Palpitations at night
I had a third ablation nearly three weeks ago and am in sinus rhythm, but I'm having trouble sleeping because of an uncomfortable thumping heart when I go to bed, that keeps me awake for a while, though it's OK in the mornings. After the ablation my consultant told me to halve my Bisoprolol dose,

What happens next please?
Advice sought from those further on the path please. I had a successful cardio version in July after 6.5 months of high rate permanent AF not well controlled by digoxin, bisoprolol, furosemide, and apixaban. I was told to just stop the digoxin after the cardio version which left me on 10mg of bisoprolol

Vitamin D
I am sure this has been written about before, but I am wondering if any of you with an AF diagnosis take Vitamin D capsules and whether there is any adverse interaction with AF related meds, i.e. Warfarin, Bisoprolol and Ramipril Thanks, John

Palpitations V Afib
Hello everyone. I know some of you are pretty slick with your understanding of ECG readings and I am hoping you can help me with mine. how to exercise with AFib?
I am new with AFib, just a week into it, 61 years old. I am very anxious now about this, as I am breathless even on an easy walk. I am taking bisoprolol after I ended up in hospital with a Heart rate that wouldn’t come down until they gave me this medication. I have until this point always been super

Are Anticoagulants necessary?
I was diagnosed with PAF over two years ago following two episodes of fast AF which lasted for less than six hours. I was given IV Metoprolol in A&E and discharged on Bisoprolol 1.25mg daily. I have been well and active since but my cardiologist is keen for me to take anticoagulants as my CHADsVASc

Unexplained symptoms after Heart attack
I had a heart attack in Aug 2020. Was in Cath. lab within 1 hour where they did an angioplasty and found Right Coronary Artery completely occluded. After 2 attempts they mostly cleared the clots, and put me on Rivaroxaban, clopidogrel, aspirin, bisoprolol. They could not put a stent in for technical

Chest pain & subsequent leg pain
in 2008 I was diagnosed with an ectopic heartbeat, and a leaky mitral valve. I was put on Bisoprolol and Ramipril. I have palpitations. Life continued as normal including the gym and running. I eventually stopped the gym and running due to joint problems. In 2019 I was diagnosed with angina and
