Hello Jeff

It is a daunting prospect the PIP date. The best advice I can give is to be prepared. People have succeeded in being awarded PIP. The citizen advice people know a lot about filling in the form as do your local rights groups. Do try to get their help.

Dealing with the hearing can be stressful so do your homework first and try to be confident in answering the questions. I am sure others here will have sound advice for you too.

Also think about your presentation on the day. Remember that these people do not know your life so let your presentation be reflective of your worst days.

Good luck. Let us know how you get on

Regards

⚽️

Thankyou, the thing is I'm not going to these meetings looking like a down and out!,this seems to have a huge influence on been awarded, but a doctor will be on Panal, surely he shld know lupus is not a visual disease, the forms went on a score, asked if I'm incontenant,I'm not,bad days is like being a different person.

I was awarded Pip last year but I have other medical problems as well. Maybe you can look carefully at how you're affected By Lupus in every aspect of your life. U can e mail me if u like at lynneandandrew8@gmail.com for some help x

Just a thought but I nearly had to go for one but my situation changed but the CAB would have helped me and would have some one to go with me to the hearing. Not all CABs do this but they would know the nearest one to you that do hope this helps
