Taking control again - running in the rain!
Reached the end of week 7 about two years ago, and then
injury
and a
back
op brought things to a halt. Haven’t managed to get going again properly since then, but today decided to go out running, even though it was raining.

Help
But I did myself an injury and haven’t gained now for roughly 3 months as my
injury
hasn’t healed. I really want to get
back
into my plan and hopefully achieve my 5k as I was SO close. Can anyone give me some tips to help ease me back into it?

Walking not running...
I would like to jog again but I am scared of the
injury
I had coming
back
! Also any tips for how it's cold when you start off so you want to wear a coat or something but half way through you warm up and don't want the extra layer but don't want to take it off and carry it!

How do you ladies cope with the emotional symptoms/side effects
About every 3 months I get very severe emotional symptoms relating to my cycle.. used to get this 2 weeks out of every month. Along with all the pain/discomfort I feel regularly (and having 3 kids) I get to the point I feel like I’m having a break down. I take things very personally and end up having

BOOM its the first week of 10 is the magic number ( with extras)!
Its a great exercise for core, glutes and
back
muscles and will help prevent
injury
in the long run as you get stronger.

W8R3 Wobble ☹️
(I had a knee
injury
week 2 that set me
back
2 weeks - but this is not the same and nothing like as bad). Even though it was a lovely morning for it today I just wasn’t feeling it. I did the full run - slowly mind you - and came home without the usual high.

Foggy Misty morning
I did try it a few yrs ago but a
back
and knee
injury
put it all to a quick end (after 3 half hearted attempts at jogging) But this time is different, for the last 2 months I’ve been weight training with a personal trainer, strengthening my core and walking 4/5 miles every day on top of very active

Pain in the shin
I'm not in any other pain, other than the constant discomfort which I always have due to a
back
injury
many years ago. I've not experienced this before so I don't know whether it's connected to my back problems or whether it's some kind of flare up.

Explanation of why levo & NDT don't work?
I'm looking for an article and/or video on this subject to assist a person with this problem. Some people (I am one of them) who have gut disorders, deep nutritional deficiencies, and other conditions, cannot respond well to levo or NDT initially; these patients need work on other problems first. The Lighter Side: Good News. MB's PMR / Pred Paradox no. 86 Resolved - with thanks to You Lot ;-)
Greetings All Good News: thanks to the many of you responded to my recent Post about transient Dizziness and offered various thoughts about the cause, including BPV (Benign Positional Vertigo), I'm delighted to say that you were RIGHT! :-). But just to check things out with a Medic (as is always wise

Major Hip Pain .
I stopped Xeljanz on Friday. The major headaches stopped right away however now I find myself unable to stand or walk. I restarted Xeljanz this morning but have ultrasound tomorrow in Vancouver. I am hoping the pain resolved itself tonight.

If I am really honest I didn't run 3 times a week for week 8 and 9 due to
back
injury
. I will continue running but probably only once a week as prescribed by the gp. Anyway what matters is that I did it, remember thinking that week 2 was already too hard for me 🏅🏅🏅🎉🎉🎉

Do you know the way to 10k?
Thing is I’m now using the muscles slightly differently, with the insoles and the stretching regime the physio gave me, so there’s a bit of a route
back
if I want to avoid
injury
. However, I’m on the trail not the couch, I’ll be
back
soon enough hopefully.

Redicalm
Hi...anyone come across Redicalm supplement for anxiety. It contains Ashwagandha, Passion Flower, L-Theanine, Lemom Balm and 5 HTP. Anyone know if this is okay to take with Thyroid meds? I seem to remember reading that Asgwaganda was not a good idea. Thanks xx

Perils of running in the dark
I got over my hamstring
injury
but had to go
back
to week 6 or so to become a 30 min runner again. I have now done about 9 park runs ( which I love) and am still running more or less three times a week. I am even going to run ( or more likely run/ walk ) a 10k in November.
