Saying no to invitations, pacing yourself
Hi I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia this past July. What a crazy number of years I've had. Trying to explain to family that I'm not up to going out for dinner or other invitations when I know I'm not up to it is tough. I get these looks. Sometimes I feel like they actually don't believe me & what

I've been taking Amitriptyline about a year ago, having some scary dreams on and off.
Does anyone else take this medication, if so what do you take it for?

Here I am crawling back again ;)
I'm back to the dieting game again.... Every so often I find myself having a 'break' from weight loss. Often as a result of social events, work commitments, holidays etc. The type of weeks when I just know I'm not going to loose anything.... Don't get me wrong I live a very healthy, active lifestyle

Lack of energy in fibromyalgia/M.E.
Hello. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in Sept 2015. My joint pain is mostly kept in check with amitriptyline. However since initially being put on citalopram and reacting badly to it, I now get patchy head pains and sensitive areas at the back of my neck which sends pain to the top of my head whenever

TENS machine
Hi Just thought I'd mention something that I found works for me, it might be somewhere else on here (sorry) I was prescribed Amitriptyline for my RLS but found it turned me into a zombie during the day. I've found using a tens machine really helps, I got one quite cheap from Lloyds Pharmacy (£12) http

Amitriptyline changed my life!
I have had migraines since I was five years old, back then when I got one it lasted all day and nothing would help ease the pain it was that bad I would ask my mum to kill me! My mum would take me to the doctor's all the time and I tried so many things in the end as I got older I just learned to manage

I have been told I have bursitis in right hip. The pain is unbearable. I started with pain Christmas 2013. Doctors appointment follow up
Yesterday I was back at the Gp for the results of my blood tests and to have my bp re-checked as have doubled the dosage to 10 mg . First he checked the bp and said we will leave that for the moment as it had not changed, but he did say it usually takes between 10 and 14 days to see a difference. Asked

Letting off steam!
Busy last two weeks with consultants, scans and specialists. I had MRI scan done last Wednesday, get the results this Friday. I went to see a Colorectal Consultant yesterday, because my gynae consultant referred me due to change in bowel habits. I have been scheduled for a colonoscopy for the 25th
