Blood test results - now even more confused
I have also done the Genova Adrenal Stress Profile test but am still waiting for the results, will post them separately when they arrive. Currently taking 2.25 grains Nature Throid at bedtime, at least 3 hours after any food. Increased from 2 grains nearly two months ago. I did the BH Thyroid Plus

I have Diffuuse Idiopathic skeletal Hyperostosis (DISH)
I was diagnosed with the above condition last year, after suffering with really bad back pain and stiffness. Well since then had to reduce my working hours from 37 hour to 27 hours, and now even that is begining to be hard to cope with. When I get hope my body is like of a 80 year old and so so tired

Update on first stage of treatments
Hello peeps, been on Hydroxychloroquine 6 weeks now, no side effects to speak of so far. Started Amitriptyline for my nerve pain problems on Friday , 10 mg at first and I've upped it to 20 mg last night. Can go up to 30 mg before I need to contact the GP again. Can't say I've noticed any improvement

Is my brain just shutting off for a break or am I having seizures?
I'm 5 weeks into viral meningitis recovery, (not feeling much improvement yet, just baby steps). My legs get very painful and heavy feeling if I stand up for more than 30 seconds, and they feel shaky and give way if I walk so I'm in a wheelchair or use a walking aid... and it's the same with my arms

Pain Clinic and other assorted short horror stories!
I had an appointment this week with the 'Pain Management Consultant'. My first experience with him (as some of you may remember) was a disaster. I was awaiting a total knee replacement and wanted to try and cut down my various (& numerous) medications before the surgery. His advice was to 'just stop

Diagnosed today
Hi everyone, I have finally been diagnosed today - appropriate day!! Its taken 3 years but the first time I hared the work Fibromyalgia was January 2013. I wont forget it as I was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of weeks before. Apparently the stress and trauma of that diagnosis started it all

Still no diagnosis
Having a rough time at the moment. Ache from head to toe with every joint being really painful which has been progressively getting worse since last week Friday. Got strange white patches appearing over torso (none of my face luckily) which I finally did go to GP about. He prescribed a steroid cream.

Trying Amityptyline for the first time
I have been getting migraines since I was 13, I am now 39. They have ranged in severity and frequency during those years, and I have taken Imigran and Synflex (which of which worked for a while and now cause severe nausea and vomiting). I was prescribed Amitriptyline today for the first time and after

Amitriptyline and Trazodone
I was given Citalopram in place of Amitriptyline 4 weeks ago. It didn't do me much good at all. Went back to the doctor who knows me best. She told me Citralopram would not help my pain. As I was getting better relief from amitriptyline she prescribed me 50mg amitriptyline as well as 50mg of trazodone

18 Months of Bleeding and Need Your Ideas!
(I passed ‘wits end’ some time ago…) After having my daughter nearly 18 months ago, I’ve had exactly 5 bleed-free days. I would like a last attempt for a sibling for her but despite saying EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that I don’t want the mirena coil, it’s all they mention. I had a endometrial biopsy 3 months

Looking for support
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site & desperately hoping to find others who are or have been in a similar position to myself. I was diagnosed in Jan 2015 via laparoscopy surgery. This was following the discovery of a cyst on one of my ovaries during some fertility tests. I was worried about my fertility
