Sorry Shazzatee I cannot give you advice on your meds as we aren't medically trained but I suggest you ring your surgery very soon to find the answer.....Hope you get sorted soon! xx
I was prescribed this one and I was instructed to take it in the morning as per most SSRI's but check with your chemist or Doctor to be on the safe side like Trikki said. Pretty sure if you took this at night you would have difficulty sleeping as they work on Serotonin, which is a feel good chemical in the brain, so will are designed to make you feel 'up' Worth noting they take a minimum of 3-4 weeks to start having any effect.
Thank you ...the doctor said it will work with the amitryptiline ,,I was a bit worried as I'm quite over weight (but I'm healthy eating & losing ) it says some side effects can be weight gain 😟 I really hope I'm not one of the percentage that does ..will just give it a go anything must be better than all the pain & stiffness x
I was on Sertaline but my Dr changed it to Duloxetine as as well as being an effective antidepressant it is also prescribed for Fibro so I changed to Duloxetine.
The thing with side effects of tablets is that they have to state every side effect reported to them some of the meds I'm on the list of side effects go on for pages. Everyone's physiology is unique and therefore each medication will affect you uniquely to you. I suggest you make a note in your diary of when you started taking these and to put a note in your diary for 4 weeks later to see if its having the desired effect
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
