Side effects
I have been taking amitriptyline for a few weeks. I am suffering from a very dry mouth which is a recognised side effect. However, I have been very weepy as well. I can be emotional like most people but bursting into tears at the slightest thing just isn't me. I am wondering if this is a side effect

IBS turned out to be IBD
Hi all, I thought I would write a little post about what happened to me in the hope it will help others. For a good few years now, my stomach has not been normal. I had on and off diarrhoea, constipation, blood in stools, mucus, cramps, aches and pains- you name it! The past 6 months, the symptoms quickly

I'm new here and after some advice. My story is a long one so i'll keep it as short as possible. I was diagnosed with PTSD/Depression/Agoraphobia back in 2009 for which I have been receiving treatment on and off. I had a heart attack in 2010 which I was told was stress related. So life has been a daily

Amitriptyline
After being on 10mg Amitriptyline for 5 years I was feeling that they were no longer doing very much. It was prescribed when I was told I have fibromyalgia (as well as already having RA and Sjogrens). But I'm fed up with feeling so groggy in the morning, even though Rheumy Nurse suggested I take them

Just wanted to share some positive news with you all. I have been so poorly for the last 2 years. Unable to do much apart from work part time. I was in constant pain. I've been so bad that I have not been on holiday for over 2 years, usually we have about 3. I had widespread Endo removed in March 2015

Exhausted and fed up
Another night exhausted and trying to sleep but my legs have other ideas. Withdrawing off amitriptyline which was given as my restless legs are accompanied by pain. Didn't realise at the time it would eventually make it so much worse. Doc says I can't be prescribed anything else til off the amitriptyline

Anyone else suffering from Gastroparesis or other stomach conditions with FND?
Hello, I was diagnosed last year with gastroparesis, which is a where your stomach becomes paralyzed. It is a very debilitating condition in itself. I have seen two research hospitals, including the Mayo Clinic in Florida. Neither of the specialists could tell me why I have gastroparesis, besides a glitch

I've become a walking whoopie cushion ...lol
I've been taking meds for PsA since April and I've turned into a walking fart machine! Hydroxychloroquine, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline, Naproxen all contribute to me becoming my own version of a spluttering motorbike circa 1935. Does anyone else have this problem , which sometimes is not controllable lol
