Amitriptyline
Has anyone been prescribed Amitriptyline for pain/ stomach problems. I just started on 30mg, last night was my second night but both days I’ve been unable to function at all, I’ve spent all day and night in bed barely able to move. Is this just something I have to put up with for a few days or does it

Hi everyone! I've posted a few times now about my journey - I am not diagnosed with endo but have had ongoing lower abdominal pain and tenderness, along with other symptoms, for 7 months now. I have just had my follow up appointment with my gastroenterologist today who insisted it is just IBS. I have

Could it be fibromyalgia
Hi. Well where to begin! I have Hypothyroidism, am medicated and therefore I expect my levels are as good as they can be. However, the pain I experience day after day, which I thought were due to the thyroid, could possibly be due to fibromyalgia. I went to the Nurse at my local practice who I had never

Amitriptyline stopped my migraines (so far)
So interesting to read everyones stories. I have had migraines for many years. They got progressively worse. I started on Amitriptyline at 10mg per night and progressed up to 50mg. Still had 2 bad migraines a week. I kind of gave up on seeing a doctor and started on Solphedeine Max, headache tablets

Amitriptaline 10mg side effects
Hey everyone, so I had a very very bad episode so bad I had an ambulance called I was violently shaking sweating and being sick. Turned out to be a bad anxiety attack. Paramedics said nothings wrong with me it looked like anxiety and I agreed after a while I calmed down and I stopped shaking as bad.

? wrong diagnosis
Hi All So I was diagnosed (by a very experienced, but not friendly consultant) in June 2015 with PMR/GCA, having been ill for several years. 48 hours on 40mgs of preds and felt like a new person. So like others had a journey to get to this point - so will try and be brief but would appreciate your thoughts

Advise required re levothyroxine increase
Hi all, just returned from my prescription review, our GP only tests for TSH, only ever says its in range. Have been on 75 mug for years. Had blood test 2/3 month ago as felt unwell, TSH then was 2.6, today was told its 1.86. When I questioned it, GP informed me that my more thyroxine was being produced

Experiences of Amitriptyline?
Hi there, I'm new to this forum. I am an Endo sufferer. I recently went to a pain management consultant who recommended I start taking Amitriptyline for the pain. Does anyone here have a first hand account of using Amitriptyline and how it has affected you? I have never been on a sustained medication

Fibro Newbie
Hi, new here and this is my storey. Pretty much the same as others I guess. I have had many trips to the hospital for scans and investigations for ongoing pains everywhere for many years. Comes and goes a little but doing anything makes it come back. The consultant whom looked at my scans told me in

Amitriptyline and pregabalin
Hi all, I am starting to come off of Pregabalin as I feel like it hasn't done too much to help other than give me bad side effects. The doctor prescribed me Amitriptyline today, my mum has said it really helps her so thought great. However, I was wondering if any one knows if you can take these together

RSL - Pregabalin as a supplement to pramipexole?
After receiving lots of helpful advice from people on this forum, went to see my GP yesterday. I'm 65 and have suffered from RSL for 9 years. My condition has slowly worsened. I currently take 0.7mg of pramipexole, supplemented by amitriptyline (10mg) and quinine sulphate (200mg) each day. I explained
