Hi! I was diagnosed with endo about two years ago. I have amitriptyline for the pain once daily and also CBD oil. Occasionally my legs ache me so much. It comes over me suddenly and can last only a few seconds but it’s so painful. I’m thinking of calling the doctor tomorrow to see if there is anything else I can take for this pain as it’s horrible. Not sure how to explain it to the doctor as I feel as though I’m moaning about nothing. How do you cope with the aches in your legs? Thank you x

Not sure what to do. Achy legs...
I have started to experience this for a few months. It comes and goes and its worse on a night when I'm in bed. I was diagnosed last year and not on any medication. They ache and almost feel numb. I haven't found a solution yet and gp is adamant that the hospital won't have me back for a second lap! X
There was a link today, on a US (?) Endo Soc post that I receive (sorry have deleted and cannot remember the exact name/source of the post/Blog) which suggested Gabapentin was good for Endo pain. It's prescription only and there are lots of health-check boxes to be ticked - to know if it's suitable ... but it might be worth asking on here, or of the 'Endo UK' advisors - site-link at top/side) who host this blog on 'Health Unlocked', as well as trying your GP
Also, how much Amitriptylene do you take? I was initially on just one, 10mg tablet a day, as an aid to sleeping, when my menopause hot-flushes were so bad that I was getting terrible migraines and no sleep. However, I only needed 1/3 of a tab to sleep, but I discovered that people regularly started on 40mg a day of Amitrip. when it was prescribed for them as an anti-depressant. So, if the Amitrip. does not adversely affect you (eg sleepy) maybe the dose of that could be increased: again ask Dr.
Hope this is useful.
