I've taken up aqua
aerobics
which I love and I'm looking forward to a new me. I'll be 60 in 15 months so I want to be as fit and healthy as I can.

No running for 3 months plus!
I'm not allowed to do any exercise at all using my legs till mid-December (even Aqua
aerobics
or Pilates), but I have my eye on an arm cycle at the gym!! To say I am gutted is an understatement, but I know this is for 6 weeks, not 60 years, and people put up with far worse.

This morning I went with Him Indoors to a "Body Attack"
aerobics
class at the gym. I was remembering we're meant to do cross training and not just run. For that reason and that reason alone, I may well go back as it's no doubt very improving and worthy.

Healthy ...run 4-6 miles everyday.
I have always been active my whole life as a teenager as a cheerleader in college as a cheerleader than teaching
aerobics
powerwalking and now running 4-6 miles every day . About 19 years ago I had a very bad virus and it culminated in putting me in atrial fib.

Day 12- will weigh in tonight!
After I finish work today, i'm going to go to the gymn and either have a short gym workout, or perhaps try an
aerobics
class, I just hope its not as intense as the last one. And of course weigh-in!

10 months on......
Still go to aqua
aerobics
and Pilates ( started when I had PMR). Both help to keep supple. Do get some tired out days but have learnt to rest on those. Also have lost weight slowly over this period....now only a few pounds over pre pred weight. Look much better.

I find the aqua
aerobics
very good because I can do things in the water that I would be unable to normally. Both instructors now know that I am blind, and therefore take into account, any problems I have.

Laparoscopy recovery time
Also every time I try to exercise I end up in pain again, I've only tried yoga and aqua
aerobics
so nothing too energetic for me. I was fairly fit and active before the op so expected to be back to normal by now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Being active
It may not be the gym or
aerobics
class but it's keeping myself moving as due to pain I had become very inactive. I have goals to increase my movements but it's small steps at a time.

W2 R1 done!
I had a few days break (due to an intense
aerobics
class that left me feeling very sore)... But I did my first week 2 run today. It felt okay.. I feel like I'm not getting as out of breath as I used to.. To be honest that used to cause me quite a bit of anxiety..

Alternative exercise on rest days?
I do try to do some other forms of exercise too (mainly Aqua
aerobics
and Pilates, plus a weekly dance lesson, so decent workouts but nothing overly dramatic). I'm interested to know whether alternative forms of exercise on days off from the runs fit OK with the programme?

Today was only my 3rd day and I was dreading it as it was my day off:( had breakfast yet again which is brilliant, whole meal toast with spaghetti for lunch and an apple for a snack, Hunter chicken with wedges and green veg cooking away nicely plus 45 mins on the wifi fit step
aerobics
:) doesn't sound

Water Aerobics
Hey It has been suggested that I should try out water
aerobics
. Has anyone tried this and benefited from it?

At the end of my tether
I get plenty of exercise as I go swimming 3-4 times a week and I also do aqua
aerobics
as well but the weight is stubbornly staying put.
