Anyone feel worse after eating high sugar foods?
, I sometimes succumb to my sugar
addiction
and have a major "pig out" on chocolate or something similar. Whilst initially I love it, I find that very quickly, I start to feel bloated and lethargic and the following day, often have increased muscle and joint pain.

Hi everyone I've just joined as I have put off serious dieting for years and have 2 beautiful children who are now my inspiration!
My main problem is I feel I have a food
addiction
- some times I eat a massive bar of chocolate without remembering if I enjoyed it?! Coupled with a long standing hate of physical activity has led to me weighing over 20 stone now!

Struggling with caffeine addiction, any advice?
Hello, I used to drink only coke and i'm now struggling to stop drinking it, I have managed to cut back alot, I no longer have coke at home and have restricted myself to 2 of the 500 ml bottles whilst at work. I tried the cold turkey approach and got headaches, felt really tired and just had no energy

Have some faith, and trust in the process of recovery from nicotine
addiction
. Thousands of people no different than yourself quit smoking successfully every day of the year. They don't possess any special qualities that you don't have.

I want to leave and I have a way out, but im scared
I found out after a year that he had a cocaine
addiction
. I told him if he continued with it, I was leaving. This was after I moved 1,000 miles away from my family to be with him. Well, we moved again and I thought it would get better since he usually always works. I was wrong.

Fed up...do not let a condition define your life.
Not your
addiction
/ social life. Sorry if I've offended but I work hard and I've had enough of the people that play woe is me. Make your like what YOU want it to be. A condition should not define every aspect of your life. Sorry if I've offended.

It seems that my
addiction
to nicotene was contributing to me having panic attacks. These can be debilitating and off-putting. Best wishes to you all.

Saw this about 'Urge Surfing' and thought it might be useful.
Indeed, because of the way the brain is wired, each time an addict lets an urge pass without engaging in the unwanted behavior, it weakens the neural connections that underlie the desire; each time he or she rewards the craving with the bad habit, the brain pathways, and the
