Tired
I've changed my entire life since being stable and I still battle
addiction
at times but I'm good to everyone and I really am active in my kids lives. It's like I'm condemned and I'm just human like everyone else. I'm an outcast but I don't want to be. I love life but I know this isn't living.

There were people there with all types of issues ranging from drug and alcohol
addiction
to depression. You name it, they were there. There were people from all over the map, many of which I am still in contact with today.

US Opioid Study
If taken in low doses by those of us who do not have a history of opioid
addiction
/abuse they can quite literally be life saving. I attach the link in case anyone wishes to take part. I have signed up to it even though I’m based in the UK.

Struggling into a new self image
I'd take it very sporadically, due to a fear of
addiction
(I am prone to this as well as all adrenaline related activities). Most recently though, I've surrendered to more regular dosage of my medicine as well as giving myself permission to take it in the first place without guilt or judgment.

Xanax is great but....
I take a half a Xanax when I have particular bad attacks, but in the past week I had to do this 3 times (so 1 and a half pills), and I am worried about
addiction
to this.

Feeling Desperate
I had a fibroscan done at the end of October 2018 which was 3.9 Kpa, I am frightened enough now that I've booked an appointment with my G.P for next week and also booked an appointment with a grief and
addiction
councillor, I also have tapered down this week from 10 pints a night to 6 pints.

Not been here for a while
When I read on here with all the failings after a few days etc it makes me realise how strong the
addiction
is and how I’ve managed to come through the other side . Even doctors telling to me seek professional help as for when I’m better I will start again ..

Happy Easter!
I'm also a recovering addict (over 15 years clean), so I'm trying to implement the same tools I learned from one
addiction
, to the other, if that makes sense?? The struggle is real some days though. Mind over matter. Anyways, hope you are all well, and staying strong! Happy Easter to all of you!

Good feeling
a problem with alcohol you are a minority, family and friends never want to talk about it, I don't blame them, it must be difficult, I self re-refered to Turning point, they deal with all addictions, I now understand about heroin and the devastating effects it has, likewise they understood alcohol

Sharing my story of grief, anxiety, and depression.
I smoke regularly, cigarettes and weed, as well as maintain a high level caffeine
addiction
all in order to fight off the cravings.

Escapism
While #1 of the aforementioned list is not an option and #3 has become somewhat of an
addiction
, I still can’t find the motivation or the will to lay down my dignity and ask for help within my family or from a therapist.
