Addiction
I’m in serious xxxx. So now I’ve got to a point where I’m addicted to cocaine. I can’t sleep. I’ve lost all interest in things when I’m not high. I’m depressed like so much. And I can’t keep away from the stuff. I need help 😔

Ativan taper advice
There are also
addiction
specialists and counselors if you feel addicted. 2. Only cut a dose a small amount at a time. If you take it several times a day don’t cut all 3 doses at once. That adds up to a lot of Ativan suddenly missing from your body! 3. Taper off slowly!

Managing pain .....or not!
Hi fellow PMR sufferers I have just finished reading a really interesting thread which got me thinking even more than the recent publicity about opioid
addiction
has done. That just got me thinking “uh oh, knee jerk reaction, there’s going to be a mad dash to cut everybody’s analgesia now”.

Binge eating disorder/food addiction/obesity
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I assume this is a UK forum? Anyways, I think I may suffer from a binge eating disorder. I already suffer from OCD, anxiety, depression, Asperger's, PCOS, psoriasis and being morbidly obese. I am currently under the mental health team in my area, but I am not sure if they're

I think I had a nervous breakdown this week
But after the way I felt all week, I’d rather have an
addiction
than feel this way. I can’t concentrate on anything. I used to be an avid reader, but I hardly read at all this week because I just couldn’t keep my attention on it. I have mental health problems, and I need help.

Anybody successfully quit taking Ambien to sleep?
Didn't feel like an "
addiction
" because it didn't escalate. One pill would do it, pretty reliably. But about six months ago, I had some major losses and upheavals and sleep became the only thing I looked forward to. I've done some meditation, but that makes me anxious ("why isn't it working?!").

spacing out doses of pramipexole
Hello, I was wondering if you were to take pramipexole only 5 days a week, would that help with the "
addiction
effect"? Just curious if anyone has done that? Thanks

What a great feeling not being tied down by this
addiction
! Free is the only word that comes to mind! I hope everyone else is hanging in there! It's so worth it!

FDA Statement on Opioids
The FDA have released a helpful statement to distinguish between dependence and
addiction
to opioids. For those of us dependent on opioids to control our severe RLS, this will be useful to print out for our GPs.

3 Weeks
Psychological Withdrawal
At three weeks, we've gotten through the shock of physical withdrawal and we're just beginning to tackle the mental side of nicotine
addiction
. This turn of events triggers cravings to smoke anew for a lot of us.

Does childhood trauma create addiction?
According to a recent video that I found, Gabor Mate claims that childhood trauma creates
addiction
. Do you agree with him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojq-U13726E

A YEAR OF RUNNING & WHAT A GREAT YEAR IT'S BEEN
I honestly believe that Running has been my lifesaver, my healthy
addiction
and a defining part of who I am as a person.

Struggling with past
addiction
, basically anything that would chemicaly induce happiness, I manage to mostly stay clean but its been a long time.. And I feel like the only happiness I can feel is artificially provoked. This is a dreadful feeling and a fear that leaves a sinking feeling...

ADD and addiction to whatever gives good emotions..
HI guys, nice to find such a community and to know we are not alone :) So the title says it all. I'm in med school, I like what I'm doing and it's satisfying to accomplish things like learning textbooks. But... It's hard to explain, but I'll try: I can't concentrate, I mostly oscillate between times

Sugar addiction
I've had a sugar
addiction
for quite a few years. I remember clearly when it started, it was after my mum died. It started quite simply with me trying to make myself happier n escalated very quickly into awful cravings. The more I had the more I wanted n needed. Mostly chocolate.

Nightmares about the past
I was able to overcome the morphine
addiction
, but became an alcoholic, overcame that and went back to school to become an alcohol, drug and mental health counselor ; I was able to help a lot of people, but never my self.
