I know I can take
paracetamol
but that’s about it. I have my scan tomorrow. I would be grateful for any help/tips on what might make me feel better. At the moment I’m just taking
paracetamol
but it’s not really helping.

Ibuprofen
I’ve managed to set it off again(gardening this time) and the usual
paracetamol
isn’t helping much. I’ve just taken some
paracetamol
with ibuprofen and it seems to be having an effect.

TENS machine, AFl / Afib and aches and pains.
Because of taking blood thinners, most 'normal' painkillers are ruled out because they contain NSAIDs, leaving only really
paracetamol
for general pain. Or, if not, what do you use to help moderate 'normal' aches and pains? Thanks.

Sleep and recovery
Last night I had a hot bath, took the
paracetamol
and morphine along with my usual Enc. meds and slept for 12 hours. When I woke up I felt as though my brain had been doing some repairing.

Getting people to understand your pain
Has anyone else been asked by a paramedic "have you taken
paracetamol
?" They wouldn't say that to a woman in labour!

PMR.. Osteoarthritis...
Paracetamol
HELPS IT. .. so I am thinking she is right. Perhaps my PMR is gone. But I wonder if taking
Paracetamol
or an Ibuprofen after prednisone is gone. might be worse than a couple mg. of prednisone_ ? any thoughts. She suggested a drug called. sulfasalazine and getting off prednisone.

At the moment a mix of a
paracetamol
and half an ibuprofen seems to work reasonably well for feet and toes but not quite so well on my thumb. Jolly trying in the night. I wondered if anyone else has tried other drugs? Thanks Louise

Can Paracetamol be taken for pain relief when on Anticoagulants?
After taking
Paracetamol
for pain relief on a regular basis when on Apixaban, I had bad reaction with terrible pain in my leg - was eventually diagnosed as Cellulitis which was cured with wide spectrum antibiotics for 7 days.

Flare GCA or not
Yesterday had really bad temporal pain on left side which would not ease with
paracetamol
. I upped the prednisolone to 20mg as I was really worried and have taken 20mg again this morning. Would I be able to do this for 5 days and then drop back to 7mg.

And if it is OA would you try regular
paracetamol
before increasing the prednison dose ( again!) . Thanks for thinking with me.
