Help with pain

Hi can anyone on this very knowledgeable site tell me what strong pain killers I can take. I have developed shingles and am struggling to control pain with just paracetamol. Thank you in advance. Pat

so sorry about the shingles. They are awful. I had the worst case of them on my face a couple years back. And I was prescribed Tylenol with codeine. Tylenol alone did not touch the pain.

Not sure how strong they are but after surgery my doctor prescribed Hydrocodone-Acetamin 5-325 MG. I never took any, stuck with just 1 regular tylenol if absolutely needed. I have Stage 1 fibrosis. I'm sure your doctor/prescriber can help find something to make you comfortable but is safe. Never had shingles, did the vaccine hope it works but I have known some who did get it, very painful they say, so sorry. Good luck.

that’s exactly what I took. And luckily enough it did not affect my liver enzymes negatively. I’m always reluctant to take things. But with those shingles, I really needed it. Just to take the edge off.
