hello I’ve been getting hot , painful throat /thyroid , chest and behind ears , hurts on every movement, even to breath in , very sensitive, could this be thyroiditis, I have had this a lot before but doctors don’t do nothing , it’s very uncomfortable, I have nodules and hashimotos , try to explain it’s not a sore throat but painful , anyone else suffer from this , paracetamol does not touch it

more likely due to heavy handed dose reduction in levothyroxine recently

Test 6-8 weeks after any dose or brand change in levothyroxine

Which brand of levothyroxine are you taking

ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested
