Hi all, I'm a newbie. Had breast cancer 7 years ago followed by surgery, chemo and radio therapy, herceptin, tamoxifen and arimidex.
Hopefully I'm cancer free. Have put on weight and had blood test came back as hypothyroidism. Am now on 50mg levothyroxine. Can all the above be related and how do you lose weight? Thanks

Week 7 first run
I have just completed the first run of week 7 using the podcasts. Have to say these are great, I would not have done it without them. I had spinal fusion surgery 11 months ago and have not even been able to run for a bus in years, I walked with a stick 3 years ago. I have amazed myself with what I can

Double vision and squint surgery to correct it
I've had double vision for about 15 yrs. Initially I thought it was caused by either : a) Carbamazaphine Retard (side effects) b) Iritis ( the pupil became attached at an odd angle) This week I was told it was caused by Ataxia. Since the onset of double vision, the pupil in my left eye has gradually

L5-S1 spinal fusion
OK everyone, I had my fusion Wednesday the 16th. Yes it is extremely painful but I made it and already feel better. I had 6 screw's 2 pins and a plate installed. That carved a peace of hip bone to help fuse everything. I can't walk too well just yet but really pushing my self. I guess I was scared

Has anyone in Scotland been able to obtain a prescription for Armour on the NHS?
I'm new to this site and have been reading a lot online about weight gain and levothyroxine. Have been taking for a year and a half and have gained over 2 stone in weight. Just been to doc and has agreed to check bloods again but said natural alternatives are not available on NHS.

I've been diagnosed with PCOS and Endometriosis and have been taking metformin for about a year now. My weight has become a huge risk on my health at this point weighing in almost 300lbs. My doctor referred me to a bariatric surgeon to discuss weigh loss surgery options. I am also highly anemic and low

Frustrated...again
After an aggravating 5 weeks of illness, weakness, a TIA, aphasia,
loss
of appetite, neuralgia, blurred
vision
and migraines along with a previous diagnosis of APS, my neurologist insists that I don't have APS because it didn't show on recent blood work.
