I am going to have 2 weeks intensive leg bandaging in hospital but they want me to have restricted fluids and take diuretics.
Everything I have read about taking water tablets to reduce fluid retention in lymphoedema patients says it doesn't work and it could even make things worse. I would be grateful if anyone could let me know if this will be safe for me, and if there is a LSN 'policy' or some guidance notes on this issue

Will 8 mths. of vitamin supplements trigger 125mg Levothyroxine daily to actually make it work after several years?
I was badly damaged by side effects from Tamoxifen & then Arimidex - nail disintegration, hair loss, joint problems and obesity & other probs.. Under active thyroid is a part of this.

I'm 10ish weeks and last night I felt really ill and quite suddenly my vision started to go. It was like when you stand up too quickly and see spots but this got worse for around 30 minutes and then gradually faded again leaving me with a headache thats still there today. I wonder if anyone has experienced

Hypothyroid AND had weight loss surgery? (ie gastric bypass/band/gastric sleeve/duodenal switch etc) READ HERE THEN
I was hoping to form a sub-forum/support group for people who have had weight loss surgery AND are hypothyroid, mainly to share information regarding the two 'conditions' together (for example the malabsorption due to these weight loss procedures and how it affects your hypothyroidism and its management

Disappointment Personified
Well, I went to the St Andrews Parkrun this morning all full of vim and vigour, promising this would be a good one. 23 minutes should keep Aftabs at bay for a little while longer. The first two km went according to plan - a little over schedule but definitely heading for a PB. Unfortunately, I let

5 month anniversary, and ParkRuns
I realised today that I first started trying to run 5 months ago. Thinking back after today's fun run I remember how 'hard' it was to run for 1 minute, and how blissful it was to walk for 90 seconds. I didn't feel like a runner, just a real 'hammy'. I always knew I could finish the C25K, which I did
