Falling asleep and like being electrocuted
Sooo weird but I am so stressing right now. I've just been going to sleep and I was thinking about something completely erelevant to what has just happened to me. It didn't feel like I was falling or anything like that but it has woke me up and now I'm terrified to try and go back to sleep. It felt like

I want a cigarette!!!!
I smoked my last cigarette on Feb 3rd 2016 at 10pm. I have found that it is getting harder to deal with not having a cigarette. I am very short tempered with everybody and to be honest i do not care what i say or if i upset anyone.... I am taking this out on everybody else.... which is very unfair and

Why can i taste smoke in my mouth? Even my toothbrush tatses like smoke. My bedroom in the mornings smell like smoke, is it possible that my husband's smokey smelly breath (even after mouthwash) can stink the whole room out?

Sacroiliac area and groin pain ( I cannot lie down or sit)
Hello, I put off going to bed until I am utterly exhausted as I cannot lie down, sitting is equally painful and limits the distance I can travel. I have had so many nerve blocks and a denervation's that I have lost count. The GP prescribes Tramadol which does not help at all and I am on an anti inflammatory

3 months since diagnosis, no weight loss. Reassure me!
Hi, I started on 50mgs Levothyroxine in March, on 100mgs now (last TSH 3.6, March level between 5 and 8 prior to treatment) and am seeing lots of positive benefits, feeling much better. But....no weight loss to speak of! I'm following a low carb high fat diet which seems to be helping. I've lost 3 lbs

Hi I was only diagnosed with lipodemia 2 years ago, well to be honest I saw a post on facebook , read everything I could , then found the NHS webpage and took it to my Dr. who researched further and agreed that yes I did indeed appear to have this condition. At first I was very pleased to know I had

Oramorph and sleeplessness
Hi all, I just started taking Oramorph yesterday for breakthrough pain and hardly slept a wink last night, has anyone had a similar experience? I have Lupus and RA but am taking the Oramorph for back and hip pain - I had a spinal fusion at L4/5 three years ago and pain is in same area. As for my hip

Oramorph affecting sleep?
Hi all, and I hope this morning finds everyone as well as can be. A couple of months back I posted about the horrible side effects I was experiencing from an increased dose (20mg) of methotrexate taken orally and thanks to the good people here I discovered that i had the option to inject. I have been

Failure at the first hurdle :(
Hi guys, Just wanted to vent my frustrations. I'm feeling so ashamed and annoyed with myself. 4 days into the NHS 12 week weight loss diet and I've already messed up! I was having a really tough day yesterday, problems at work and with my partner and I ended up binging on Mcdonalds after work, even though

Why do people gain weight on levo?
Is it because of the actual medication, is it that people are under medicated / condition is worsening whilst starting meds so it's inadequate, due to being unwell people overeat? I'm only two weeks in to starting levo at low dose of 25mg. My sugar cravings are mad, I'm way overeating and can feel myself

Interesting stuff on the TV tomorrow
I'm sitting in a car showroom waiting for my car to be serviced so thought I would alleviate the boredom and post this. Horizon is showing an hour long episode tomorrow night on BBC 2, investigating ecigs. Dr Michael Mosley took up vaping for a month, although he has never smoked in his life, and then

ET or RT, that is the real question?
Retrospectively, I now realise that I have had a host of other symptoms like: Seriously affected blurred & monocular
vision
loss
that might last for seconds or minutes (I thought at that time I needed reading glasses so acquired them etc), erythema, which can be a superficial reddening of the skin, which

We hope we can help you to cope with vision loss
I've posted elsewhere but it was before we had a Facebook group. My friend Sue lost her vision to AMD earlier this year at age 62. She has been writing about her journey with a unique perspective: she's a psychologist who is using her own skills on herself! She's funny, smart, caring, honest. Plus

A little advice please
Hi all, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back at the beginning of last year. My TSH level now is 4.62 (the range is 0.30-5.00) and my T4 level is now 11.9 (the range is 12.0-22.0) but I do not feel any different than I did before I went to the doctors, they just keep rechecking my levels and tell
