Advice for my husband, looking at treatment options

T3 and magnesium / electrolyte supplements: I messed up, but is it just the supplements to blame?
I have been on the same dose of T4 and T3 for the last 7 months ( T4: 82mcg and T3:22.5 mcg). I was then diagnosed with ADHD end of April and started taking Lisdexamfetamine plus electrolyte supplements. (Magnesium citrate, plus : Electrolyte complex - Ingredients: Calcium salts of orthophosphoric

Perhaps an odd question! As well as thyroid disease I have a long history of Chronic UTI and high alkaline urine. I suspect a link! The C-uti has been treated, with minimal success , with various prophylactic and treatment doses of antibiotics. It flares up frequently. Previously I've tried

Cytomel makes me emotional
I take levo and cytomel, numbers are good. I split my cytomel in 2 and take it after breakfast and in the afternoon. I have noticed that a little bit after I take a dose of Cytomel I start to feel very emotional and often start crying. After the crying I feel better, but this is so strange. Did anyone

Suppressed TSH on combined therapy
Is there data/medical papers I can give my doctor as to why T3 is suppressed on combination therapy? I have tried looking at the Nice guidelines but they all seem against using combination therapy. Thanks Sue

Why Self Care is so important in managing your IBS…
My story starts with having being diagnosed with IBS seven years ago and I will have to be honest, it hasn't been an easy journey so far. However, for the past three months I have successfully kept my IBS symptoms at bay through Self Care. I will explain a little later what I mean by 'Self Care' but

Now it feels like a uti has started and gp had given me more antibiotics but if I taje them it will make the thrush so much

My mother is the person I like the least.
I have had the best moments of my life when I wasn't with my family. I also believe that they are kind of bad luck for me. Because if I had a chance at choosing, i would choose only my sister again for the next lifetime. I feel that my father although loves me but has had his own fights going forward

Urinary Retention
Hello, my dad (age 61) was diagnosed with stage 4 (Gleason 9) with multiple bone metastases back in September of 2022. We have since found out he is also BRCA2 positive with a germline mutation. He has just completed round 6 of docetaxel yesterday. He has been complaining of difficulty urinating now

Metastic clear cell...
Hi, everyone. How are you? I just came back from my clinic appointment and was told news I didn't really want to hear. It spread again to one of lymph nodes near right kidney. That made sense why I had a pain there. I was on single dose of celarsertib for a few years. Now it's discontinued. My consultant

scared
i have been in a bad place for the last 13 years (since my second son was born). I probably had PPD and never admitted to it. Then came a family illness and Covid and I had no control over my emotions, feelings, and behavior. I was awful to my husband….just awful. He has had enough and wants a separation

I had severe
urinary
retention
at night (almost to the point of going to the ER), still bad, but better now; I was getting up every 45 minutes at night, now I’m down to 5-6 times a night; I had severe urinary urgency and frequency, again better now, but still a problem; I had lots of blood and clots

I need some reassurance - I am so scared now.
I also suffer with
urinary
retention
and severe constipation from all the medications I have to take and have to strain very hard to pass a motion - but doing this after cystoscopy can burst the bladder or make it bleed. I have tried every laxative under the sun but nothing works.
