Bipolar disorder
My older sister is bipolar. She is currently on 750mg of depakote along with two other meds. Depakote is the medication that stabilized her after she was manic for about two months... ughh to tell you all how difficult, stressful, sad these past two months were. We had to hospitalize her twice!! I quit

Antibiotics and levothyroxine
I’ve developed an extremely painful Cystitis and ended up at walk in centre it got so bad. I now have antibiotics to take 2xday and I wondered if I can take them at the same time as my levothyroxine. There was no way I could avoid antibiotics & it came on so over just a few hours. Never had it before

Hello everyone. Have just started low dose Losartan after coming off Ramipril due to it making Raynauds worse. Only been taking Losartan for 3 days and I have had tingling lips, croaky voice and mouth ulcers. Just wondered if anyone else has taken this bp med and how they got on. Have not posted for

Pissing Problems Return
Hello Fellow Warriors! Started two weeks ago with a UI, but was able to empty the tank with some burning and pissing very often. Started on an antibiotic. That didn't help, so on to a different antibiotic that started last Friday. Pissing became more difficult that next day and Sat night thought

Medichecks now not doing tests for NI patients? Since when?
I’ve done many tests with medichecks over the years. Tried to order a thyroid function test but am told now that they don’t deliver to Northern Ireland! Since when? It says on their site that they deliver to the UK. As far as I’m aware NI is still part of the UK! So angry!

Struggling
It’s been a while that feeling that I’m getting. I’m constantly low. I’m scared that I will not be able to be independent enough. I’m struggling at work with basic tasks it’s just putting me down. I also may be dyspraxic which I’m getting tested for but it’s getting overwhelming and too much I want to

What is the oxygen weaning process once tracheotomy is done? Is it weaning or shut down of oxygen?

, kidneys failing, inflammation, water around lungs, ventilator now with tracheotomy, a coma. Looks pretty bad, but never giving up! Breathing on his own, still 40% oxygen. He had to show more signs of consciousness! It’s so hard.

Another day overwhelmed
These days I have noticed/realized that I get overwhelmed easy and the 2 main things are a dirty room and homework. When there is something in my room that is not put away it can sometimes lead to more things not being put away until my room is once again a mess but I often feel like I do not have

Father recently diagnosed with metastatic PC
Hi all, I am from India and my father (75 years) was recently diagnosed with metastatic prostrate cancer with distant metastasis to bones (avid during PET scan). He has had an enlarged prostrate for a long time and a recent blood test showed a PSA of close to 500! That is when a biopsy was done which

Has anyone been through the "TURPS" procedure?
I'm worried about the side effects. Anyone suffer from them? How badly does it affect your life. Was it worth it?

TURP anyone?
Hi everyone, I have been a member of this forum for several years and learned more here than I ever did from doctors. A brief history: DX 1/2016. ADT ( Decapeptyl) but PSA started rising 2019 but scans showed only 1 bone met. PSA 25 then Zytiga + pred 4/2020, over 3 months PSA down to 14 and it has

intense feelings of not existing in reality
So.. it’s been a very long time since I’ve last written a post here but.. I have been increasingly just detaching from reality? I will be staring into space for hours but it only feels like 2 mins. Or I feel like I’m on autopilot doing anything.... I have also felt like I’m reliving some negative experiences

Broken home creates a Broken woman
Life used to be good I had a mom who loved me and a dad who adored me. I had a half sister who I wanted to follow around. I mean she was my big sister. I had a babysitter that I just loved and her three kids, she was my moms best friend the one my mother had to go and talk to about anything. Then the

Tics and OCD?
Do you know if someone with OCD can have compulsive tics? Like the ones in Tourette's but as compulsions that can aggravate anxiety and obsessions. If that's the case, what the diff between tics as compulsions and the ones in TS?

Any benefit to RP given likely extracapsular extension
My 70 year old father is currently on ADT since March after gleason 9 diagnosis, awaiting IMRT likely starting in June (details in profile). His MRI tests came back showing extracapsular extension and large tumor volume, with likely extension into nearby lymph nodes and seminal vesicles and abutting

Loss of a mother
Lost my mom and to be honest I’ve never felt worse pain. I don’t know how the world continues to go on when one is suffering. My mom was the only person who truly understood me, loved me unconditionally and it hurts so much that she’s gone. My life will never be the same... Mami, te quiero mucho y jamas
