Thick blood!
Has anyone else had or have thick blood since their transplant? My blood is so thick that nurses have a hard time getting it out of me for labs. I was thinking of taking aspirin to thin it out on lab days. I did ask my doctor. He said he would get back to me after my current labs came back, but he didn

My blood pressure went sky high after cleaning my upstairs wouldn't come down. I have never had a problem. So I called ambulance went to hospital. Guess my EKG had a blip they weren't too concerned but got worse so they suggested I stay and have a stress test. They took a lot if blood. One good thing

Aspirin and Anticoagulant
Had been taking Aspirin for 18 years got taken off and put on Edoxaban due to episode of AF. Cardiologist ( due to heart disease) is adding back the aspirin along side the Edoxaban. When googled it doesn’t make very good reading. Is anyone else on similar.

APS, Covid and pregnant
Hi, I was diagnosed with APS after 3 miscarriages. I have now conceived through IVF and I am 15 weeks pregnant. I am taking 150g aspirin and 5000 fragmin. I've just got a positive covid test, I have aches and sore throat. Is there anything you can tell me to keep my mind at ease? I'm really worried.

Muscle tiredness
I’m 9 months post HA and Triple bypass and take Aspirin, Atenolol, Atorvastatin, Bisopralol, Clopidogrel, Omeprazole and Ramipril. I’m a Tyle 1 diabetic but I consider myself to be fairly fit again. My blood pressure is quite low having been very high post op but I’m in talks with GP about this. When

Hi, 33F with very controlled Behcets, never had a DVT- Left calf has been cramped since thursday. Been good about water, magnesium, walking, changing shoes. This morning I woke up with more left leg cramps, a dull but consistent one, and had trouble walking (leg kept giving out on me). I am very physically

APS and balance
Hi, I have suspected APS as I have had high Igg Cardiolipin for 12 months now, 2 previous miscarriages. I am having severe balance issues. I’m off balance every time I walk, my movements are also affected. For instance, washing my hands makes my head go funny - best way to describe it is my brain feels

What is going on with my shoulders
My PMR symptoms were never exactly like what is typical. My PMR pain was in my upper legs. However, I have a bad back and lots of pain from that so I don't notice any different pain in my hips. This all started 5 years ago. After 3 years I had to stop taking prednisone because I developed severe osteoporosis

New Here - recent diagnoses FOLLOWUP POST
Following up here after some great advise and kind words to calm my fears after recent test result showed that I was Jak 2 positive. As expected, I was diagnosed with ET by local Hematologist. We spoke at length and it was decided I would not be placed on any medication at all, including aspirin until

Vasculitis vs arteriosclerosis, getting pregnant after a CABG and statin/diet questions!
Hi! I’m 34 and have just had a CABG, I’m 6 weeks post op and feel almost back to normal. Yes, I know, I’m young and have bounced! They think that my coronary arteries were damaged by vasculitis I (might) have had when I was 19, it wasn’t diagnosed at the time as I had just classic viral symptoms although

Hello there, I have been doing research recently and i came across something that may interest some of you. Aspirin doseage
I have taken aspirin and Clopidogrel since my HA and CABG last May. I buy aspirin, save the NHS a few pennies, and I inadvertently bought 300mg instead of 75mg. 🤷♀️ So this morning I broke one in half and took 150mg (I tried quarters but ended up with crumbs 😂) I can’t get to the shops until Monday

Why just put me on a PPI?
I have never had stomach problems. In 2014/15 I spent a year on Ticagrelor and Aspirin, no stomach problems. I have been on Aspirin ever since with no problems. I have now had Clopidogrel added AND a PPI with instructions to take in the morning. But surely, the more common sense plan would be to take

Risks in taking and not taking aspirin with hydroxyruea, especially when older
I have been taking hydroxyurea since Nov 2020 when diagnosed with Essential thrombocytosis, my platlets are contained at 433 . I started to take coated aspirin 81mg with the hydroxyuria but had to stop due to severe stomach acid. Now oncologist says to take the aspirin and I realize its probably best
