Could I stop taking Hydroxicarbonide
I am jak2 neg Carl positive. Been diagnosed 5 years. Thankfully no real problem. On 1500mg hydroxy day plus 75 mg asprin. My platelets at 490. I would like to give my body a rest. Should I? Can I? Just continue with the asprin. I would like to see if the tinnitus, joint pain, and fatigue might subside

Finally got my PGS results...beat the odds!
Well, what a day! After lots of unanswered emails and calls to my clinic since Friday, I finally received the results. 3 Euploid Embryos - normal, out of 9. (the clinic had been sitting on the results for 11 days while I was stressing not knowing) I am really pleased with this and very surprised. I

Successful critical illness insurance claim
I was diagnosed with PV JAK2 neg in April 2020 following a bone marrow biopsy and am taking a low dose aspirin only. I put in a claim to Aviva in July 2020 and this has now been paid with interest dating back to diagnosis date and a refund of premiums from diagnosis to pay out. The process was simple

I've had some health-related issues for a couple of years now (fatigue, confusion, anxiety, dizziness, weakness, photosensitivity) and had blood work drawn. Found my ALT to be 99 and AST

I have temperature ranges with feeling cold, once I get cold it is hardish to get warm again and extra layers don't help. My feet and arms suffer particularly with

One year since my unexpected HA. One stent fitted and a triple bypass October 2019. Had blood test mid July and all good. But GP put me back on Ramipril and changed statin. After two weeks my energy levels were not good and was feeling run down most of the time. After discussing this with GP I am on

What type of gastritis might I have because of hashis??
Did take aspirin but gastroscopy sees little sore patches and dr says its gastritis due to prescription aspirin. I also have underactive/overactive hashis and Type 1 diabetes.

Seen a lot of posts by people with all kinds of side effects from this disease so I just thought I’d put this out here in case someone can benefit from it - wondering if anyone else out there has come across the People’s Chemist? It’s operated by medical chemist Shane Ellison M.S. who formerly worked

Scuba Diving with High Platelets ( ET)
I am a 57 year old woman with ET. Platelets have been reduced to 650 with the use of Hydroxurea (10 capsules per week) . Lately I have been on a holiday and been scuba diving, Has anyone else been advised not to do this activity with ET or to limit depth of their dives? So far I’ve been to 10 metres

Surgery upcoming.
Hi everyone. This is Ellen, USA, PVjak2+, age 74, on hydroxyurea, aspirin, and periodic phlebotomy. Was hospitalized two weeks ago with acute pancreatitis. Long story short, I will have my gallbladder removed on Friday. Spoke at length with my hemotologist and have no real concerns. Just wondering
