IV Therapy safe with APS?
I am having trouble getting help with the next phase of my disease. I have been in a 5 month funk with micro clots which has caused fatigue and all the symptoms that tag along with APS. I can't find a doctor who understands APS very much beyond the name. It feels like I am going backwards 22 years trying

Surprising Effects of Coffee, Aspirin, and Smoking on PD Symptoms
Many studies have shown that certain substances can slow down the onset of PD. However , the effect of these substances on PD symptoms after diagnosis is often not fully examined. For instance, recent findings suggest that smoking, coffee consumption, and aspirin intake may play a role in modifying

NEW TABLET CHEMYDUR 60XL
I have started to self medicate and been given new tablets the ones above and included on the packet Isosorbida-5-mononitrate. It seems an important addition as I have had around 4 medical people phone me and asking about them and if I have any side affects taking them, I am only having half a tablet

Migraine aura and aspirin v clopidogrel
Hello again. Hope you all had a good weekend. I've enjoyed a complete break from migraine aura (visual, sometimes speech and short term memory, the headache aspect varies) since I was put on aspirin last year. While on aspirin I've had some migraine like headaches but not the accompanying aura (hurray

low dose aspirin advice x
Hi ladies I just wanted to ask regarding low-dose aspirin during the two week wait I’ve heard many stories that this is quite successful as it brings blood flow to the uterus. I am having my last embryo transfer in a few weeks time and I want to ensure I’m trying to have a successful pregnancy.

ET Increase in Platelets Linear or Random?
I've had ET since my early 30s and my platelets seem to be increasing by a set amount each year, I'm now in my 40s and platelets are at 900. It seems like I should be able to plot that and figure out when its going to get to a worrying level. So I guess I'd like to know at what level will I need to

Hydroxyurea and Anagrelide
Goid evening, I visited a local hematologist this week, not my MPN specialist, due to non coverage and he suggested trying combo of Hydroxyurea and Anagrelide. Has anyone used this combination for treatment of ET? Also, maybe (2) 81 mg baby aspirin/ day to counteract the ever increasing platelets which

1 year post diagnosis
I am a 54 yo male living in Vegas, I found out I was Jak2 positive last year, looked at labs before doctor and freaked. I have been having slightly higher RBC and Platelets for around 6-7 years. I used to donate blood pretty regularly and took testosterone, so the doctors kinda ignored it. I was a paramedic

New member - Post ET MF (Australia)
I'm 42, married with six children, and I live in Australia. In 2013, I was diagnosed with CAL-R positive ET. I started taking aspirin and managed pretty well. After a spontaneous bleed in my right quadricep, it was discovered that I also had a genetic bleeding disorder, dysfibrinogenemia. After that

Left Ventricular Non Compaction and dilated cardiomyopathy
Hi everyone. Hoping somebody can help with some advice! My dad died from dilated cardiomyopathy when he was 29. That was in 1979. It transpired that all his siblings have the gene as well as my sister and me. The heart specialist has been monitoring me for about 10 years and there were never any symptoms

clexane/ aspirin - spotting: bleeding
Hi everyone. I’d like to know, has anyone experienced any bleeding prior to OTD as a result of Clexane? I tested positive today at 8dp5dt (naughty testing early I know!) but have this afternoon had some bleeding. I’ve been advised to continue meds as normal but remove the 75mg aspirin from daily schedule

pain in legs and joints
Since I had quadruple heart bypass I was on 11 new tablets .Everything was ok until I’ve been out on some new tablets. Now I am getting cramps, aching joints and I’ve had to stop going with walking groups because of pain in legs. The common denominator here seems to be aspirin,it seems to clash with every

Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
This is my first post. Back in 2019 I had what felt like "flutterings" and breathlessness/dizziness. I was diagnosed with arrhythmia. A 24 hour ecg showed ventricular ectopic beats. An echocardiogram showed mild valve leakages but no obvious cardiomyopathy. I was advised to stop/reduce my caffeine
