The ‘prozole’ tablets
Hi everyone, I hope your week is going well. Just a quick question, I have been put on numerous ‘prozole’ tablets and all of them have had a bad reaction in terms of side effects. I may have asked a similar question before, so apologies. I have tried to persevere but I just can’t seem to make them work

How do people balance exercise and rest?
Hi everybody. I was diagnosed, unexpectedly, with severe heart failure approx. 6 weeks ago. I have started medications, Bisoprolol, Eplerenone, Atorvastatin, Ramipril, Ranolazine and Aspirin. I am due an Angiogram on 8th March. As I am still waiting for my Angiogram things haven't really been explained

Aspirin as a painkiller??
This is probably a very very dim question, but can you still use aspirin as a medicine if you're also taking it for ET?? I take 50mg daily and normally just take paracetamol as a painkiller but I have a hideous cold and trying to look after two sick kids too. Can I take aspirin complex??? I used to

Ibuprofen
I am ET JAJ2+. I take HU everyday - no aspirin . I’ve been taking ibuprofen since Friday for muscle inflammation. I can’t take a lot of pain meds so ibuprofen is the only one that works. I get frequent muscle pain in my upper left back. Someone on fb has said we’re not allowed to take ibuprofen? Why

My head hurts like hell.
My head hurts like hell. I feel frustrated and like i'm about to cry from the pain. I'm absolutely inadequate. I'm irritated as hell, i feel like i'm going to kill someone. My head hurts so much. Took ibuprofen, took aspirin, nothing helps. I'm drinking a lot of water. I'm litterary always needing water

Unsteady on feet and getting pressure headaches-do you think it is Bisoprolol?
HI, I had a stent fitted the beginning of December and was put on Ramipril, Bisoprolol, Isosorbide Mononitrate, Atorvastatin, Clopidogrel & Aspirin (and Lansoprazole for reflux). In the last 3 weeks or so I have started to feel unsteady on my feet. This tends to go away if I walk for a few minutes,

Strange business this pred drug. (Another Rant 😤)
As I see it doctors seam wired with it. Docs seam frightened to death with side effects. It’s a shame really as to me it is a inexpensive wonder drug . There are lots of drugs far far worse, that know one gives an hoot about,we all know lots. We could do with a protest March / demo . Two really

My symptoms
On the 7th of December 2021 I was sleeping on my right side. Thinking about wirk, good thoughts, earlier to this I felt thirsty thought I'll go down in an hour but when I turned on my back, I felt so dizzy, like I was spinning, all I could see was black and myself spinning. After that my heart felt it

Some drugs not weight based
I got the idea for this because I had just read about two people on here who got violently ill from taking a bone med injection. Some drugs that are not weight based, like flu and covid vaccines, which are made for overweight people as well as thin people. Or, one could think of it as made for a man

Is it ok to miss some doses of meds
Obviously I know it’s not ideal to miss meds but I’m struggling with bad bout of diverticulitis and can’t keep anything in stomach. Only been since 5am but this is first bad bout I’ve had since STEMI and stents 14 months ago. I just can’t take meds - normally ramipril, ivabradine, isosorbide mononitratw

When is your Anniversary ??
I was reading Geoff's post on his anniversary and I wondered who on the Forum can better this !!! 1982 Heart Attack aged 34 Nothing not even an Aspirin for Medication. 2015 My GP thought I seemed a little short of breath, ECG and referred to Cardiology.. Routine tests carried out all in the same

Unsure about where to go next
I’m still undiagnosed - it will be a year next month I’ve been dangling, waiting on a definite “yes you have MPN ET.” I’m triple negative and BMB is also negative so paid to see MPN specialist - who agreed with haematologist that “it sounds like MPN ET” and if you were my patient, I’d suggest keeping

Pradaxa Ahead Of Scheduled Cryo Ablation
I have been scheduled for my first Cryo Ablation in March for my paroxysmal AF and my EP wants me to start taking Pradaxa 30 days before. My Cardiologist has had me on Aspirin for the past 2-3 years. My ChadVas score was 1 but for the past year is 2 and I've never taken a blood thinner before. My question

Anybody take two baby aspirins each day?
Hi all, I’ve been having a few symptoms with PV (cold feet, dizzy spells) despite fairly normal bloods. Currently on aspirin and monthly venesections. I asked about doubling aspirin last appointment and the doctor said not to do that. But today a different doctor suggested I do it without me asking.

Tooth extraction
Thanks everyone for your help and advice. Brilliant as Usual. Getting tooth taken out next Friday, so stopping Aspirin from tomorrow, also taking an antibiotic, should be finished the seven day course by Thursday. The gold crown as I said had been in for over Forty years so not bad going 👍 parting

Good old Aspirin
I was leaving my Local gym about 12 years ago when I became a little dizzy while driving the 15mins to my home.I went to see my Dr who did an ECG Test and said I was as fit as a robber‘s dog, then he said to be on the safe side I will refer you to the local hospital which I duly attended and after

Tooth Extraction 🥴
Hi my friends, any advice as to what to do !! I have been told today that I am going to have a tooth extracted, originally had a gold crown on the tooth, but over the last few years it has eroded the tooth underneath and I now have a very bad infection which has also done damage, my dentist has removed
