ET and Autoimmune disease
Hello! I was diagnosed with ET a month ago following a BMB though it turns out I’ve had highish platelets since 2007. In 2005 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease and 2017 I was diagnosed with Autoimmune gastritis. I asked my haematologist if this is all related and while she said there was no direct

I had Open Heart Surgery twice in April 2019 to repair a Thoracic Ascending Aortic Aneurysm. Was in a months in total. After surgery I was in a month with infections and various bouts of AFIB. I was initially on Amiodarone. 3 weeks later I had other bouts of Afib brought on by Pneumonia and Sepsis.

Tattoos while taking aspirin.
Hi, I’m thinking of adding to my tattoo collection that I had previously before my HA. My question is, I’m on a blood thinner of 75mg of aspirin daily, Will I be able to go ahead? The tattooist is very reputable one known him for years, so all good there. Anyone had experience of large tattoos while

Question about MBC being incurable w/o drugs or medical interference?
Someone posted this article this am which I thought looked promising for MBC https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/drug-rapidly-shrinks-metastatic-breast-cancers-in-mice However I’m just wondering if anyone has anecdotal opinions on this, since according to the article and what I’ve always been told

Lack of appetite and sour stomach
Hello everyone, I am currently going through something strange. I have periods where food is unappealing to me. When I try to eat, I just cannot do it. Yesterday I was able to have a protein powder smoothie with almond milk, banana, strawberries, and blueberries. Then at lunch I was barely able to

Heat and afib
In March I passed out a couple times, the 2nd time, I was fortunate to be already hospitalized with rapid afib following my first syncope. I went into sustained vtach@ heart rate 275 and went into cardiac arrest. I now have a pace maker/defibrilator because my resting heart rate is 50. I take Sotalol

Pink spots from blood thinning meds??
Hi everyone! Just a query regarding some pink spots I’ve noticed here and there. They look like tiny burst capillaries if that’s the best way to describe it! Very small, flat give me no trouble at all. I will check with my consultant next time i see them, but i wondered if it’s a side effect of the aspirin

Testing negative for APS
Hi I was diagnosed with APS in 2011 due to difficulties getting pregnant and since then I have been on aspirin and had yearly blood tests. My last three blood tests have been negative and I am unsure what this means? Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Valued Advice
Hi everyone, i'm writing again in the hope that I can receive some expert advice from the forum. Your opinions are of tremendous value and help me to make important decisions. I am due to have surgery on my neck as my balance is terrible and my legs are extremely weak, along with other spinal problems

Will I ever feel better?
After a STEMI heart attack in April (Troponin peaked at 92,000), I thought I was doing pretty well. Back at work full-time, exercising, it was all going fine. I’m “only” 50 and have teenage kids who want to do more than I’m able. Previous to the HA I was pretty well, despite having dilated cardiomyopathy

Progesterone, fragmin and aspirin - 3rd FET double embryo transfer
Hi all, so at my scratch this week the consultant agreed for me to use progesterone (I do natural FETs so never used before) starting the day of transfer. Also agreed on aspirin and fragmin both to be started with a positive pregnancy test. I’ve read on here most ladies start the fragmin straight after

Hello, I'm looking for some advice/reassurance, so I'm on day 11 on progynova prepping for my FET in 6 days. I'm also taking 75mg of aspirin to increase blood flow etc. However, over the last couple of days I've started noticing some spotting but only when I wipe and it comes on and off. Today (day 11
