Umbilical hernia after laparoscopy?
Hi guys, I had a laparoscopy on 5th Jan where they removed some endometriosis and disconnected my bowel from my left side where adhesion's were connecting them. When I came out of surgery, the incision in my belly button was very sore. I had a cough and every time I coughed, the pain and pressure on

I have a tiny
hernia
(
umbilical
) is it worth getting it fixed then? It's not bothering now, but it would delay my surgery. Any advice?

Can't stop worrying about my mom..
One thing to note is that she does have an
umbilical
hernia
that has been getting bigger, and she will have surgery next week to repair it. The NP, and her oncologist had attributed the rise in her CA-125 to the hernia before, but that was when it was just around 60-100.

Suspected Endometrioma could also be desmoid or Sarcoma??
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a similar experience or could shed any light on this scary and confusing situation I’m in. It will be 2 years in March since a lump was found on my abdominal wall by ultrasound. The radiologist was unsure but suspected an endometrioma. I am now with a bsge consultant

Vitamin B-12 dosage
It is an
umbilical
hernia
caused by the surgery I had this summer to remove an ovarian cyst. Apparently they are common since the incision beneath the belly button weakens the abdominal walls. I will most likely have to have it repaired.

Surgery and steroids
Currently on 10mg and needing an
umbilical
hernia
op. Surgeon has talked about higher risk factors of surgery on steroids including delayed healing, inability to fight infection etc. Got me a bit worried but it needs doing as he advised it can be life threatening if bowel gets trapped!

Spouse with cirrhosis
Had his
umbilical
hernia
fixed and they explored to see where fluid was coming from. That's when we found out about liver. He's not eligible for transplant. Has never been heavy drinker but has been very overweight along time. I'm lost..I just don't know what to say or do.

Do I have ovarian cancer?
I also did a ct scan of pelvic abdomen and a small
umbilical
hernia
appeared. I have an appointment with obgyn in 3 days. But I'm so scared. I don't have a UTi but why am I getting pressure and lower back pain? I had a pelvic ultrasound back in 2017 and it was clear. I am rwckof my brain.

Hiatus hernia and b12
Hi, has anyone else developed chronic lpr (silent reflux) since increasing their B12 levels? Since upping my b12 levels I thought all my stomach issues had disappeared because my stomach functioning (emptying) had returned to normal after 25 years but I did develope a progressively worsening sore throat

Groin and leg pain and mini stroke
Eight years ago I had a left orchiectomy, which seemed to go well, and the following year I had a bilateral inguinal hernia repair. The surgeon caught one of my nerves (I think it was the femoral nerve) but I’m not sure, and he told me that it would eventually release it’s self. Sadly that has never

It's not twins!!!
Hi there. I've now found out why my stomach keeps bloating so badly. I had a CT scan yesterday and when I saw my oncologist this morning she said that she could see that my incisional hernia was much bigger than on my last ct scan. This came as a great surprise to me since no one had mentioned a hernia

TIPS Procedure
Back on May 19th, I had what I thought would be a simple outpatient surgery for an
umbilical
hernia
. Well, 2 hospital stays later, I am now faced with having a TIPS procedure done on Jul 17th. I have had terrible ascites ever since the surgery & had fluid drawn out 3 times now.
