Surgery and AFIB
I'm due to have an open mesh hernia repair under general anaesthetic soon. Since organising it with the consultant I have gone back into AFIB. I was 13 months into NSR with ectopics after a previous cardioversion. My cardiologist gave the all clear but wanted me to increase bisoprolol from 2.5mg to 5mg

Panicking this morning
How does one deal with life when they have combinations of disorders such as mine-anxiety/major depressive, ptsd - concurrent with physical pain, IBS,
umbilical
hernia
(as well as feeling tired all the time from dealing with the mental disorders).

Vaginal prolapse and adhesions
I have a vaginal prolapse with cistocele and rectocle. I also suffer from pelvic adhesions which cause me a lot of pain. I have in addition a pelvic injury through childbirth 40 years ago. My appointment at a fracture clinic lead to the suggestion that I had the pelvic bone fused. My gyneacologist

Ascites hernia question
A major symptom I have is ascites, I have a large
hernia
around the
umbilical
area. The ascites is slowly reducing with 200mg Spironolactone diuretic treatment, but the hernia is growing.

Unauthorised procedure question
Hi folks, I'm having a bit of a dilemma at the moment and decided to see what others feel about this. I'm in the UK if that helps. The short of it is: If you went into hospital for planned surgery and awoke to find that an additional procedure had been carried out without your authorisation, would

Parastomal Hernia Repair
I have a medium to large parastomal hernia which has been causing partial blockages and pain. I have decided to have a parastomal hernia repair and booked a date for the operation. I just wish to know what the after effects are. Does the stoma get smaller and cause leakages. Do I get pain in the long

How I got here
Last year I had a pretty horrific midriff hernia repair and reconstruction from which it took months to recover. I had a ct scan done at that time and a couple of small nodules were found on my right lung. No one seemed concerned and I was told I would have a followup scan this summer. In the meantime

Umbilical hernia, but operation denied because of severe COPD.
I went in to the hospital emergency, and it was determined that I had an
umbilical
hernia
. They thought at first I would have to have immediate surgery, but one of the doctors was able to apply external pressure to release the caught up intestine.

Possibly ascites but no other signs of liver problems. Drank quite a bit for years. Blood tests and ultrasound fine. What’s going on????
My belly is very bloated plus the

General Anaesthetic While Taking Prednisolone
I have been told I need a hernia repair operation involving general anaesthetic. I am presently taking 9mg Prednisolone daily and wonder if it is safe to have the operation. Has anyone had experience of this? I have had Temporal Arteritis since March 2016 and was down to 2mg Prednisolone daily when
