Aerophagia with cpap
Around that time I developed an
umbilical
hernia
and feel the aerophagia was at least partly to blame. I am now dealing with episodes of diverticulitis. The docs don't think there is any connection. Has anyone else experienced aerophagia with their machine and developed any issues?

Afib, sleep apnea and diverticulitis from aerophagia
I developed an
umbilical
hernia
, which I believe was related to the aerophagia, but is dismissed or downplayed by the doctors. Now I have suffered through a few episodes of diverticulitis and was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.

Coccydynia, pronounced chest bone & umbilical hernia.
My consultant thinks that maybe as a result of ascities, coccydynia, pronounced chest bone and hernia have developed. Has anyone experienced this? Coccydynia is apparently a very sore tip of the coccyx bone which is inflamed. Got a special cushion but can anything else help? I’ve been struggling with

pain eating after hiatus hernia repair.
hey everyone, I had surgery to repair a hiatus hernia I had in 2019. I’m grateful I have had no acid reflux since but I get this really bad pain in my left shoulder (kind of up inline with my armpit). I went back to hospital for endoscopy and barium swallow because I regurgitate my food and they found

First run after hernia op
Those of you who read Damien's parkrun post every Saturday will be aware that I was diagnosed with a hernia in February. I was told that it wasn't linked with running and the type I had (inguinal) is not uncommon among 'older' men. It was only occasionally painful but often uncomfortable, so initially

Looking for advice....What exercises can I do around the house with an umbilical hernia?
Since my abdomen surgery it has left me with an
umbilical
hernia
which is making it difficult for me to find exercise in the house that I can do without it popping out. I really am missing my exercise. Can anyone in the same situation give me any advice?

Diagnosed with stage 3b Rectal Cancer in July 21. Chemo / Radiotherapy for 5 weeks in October 21 and APR with permanent colostomy on December 21. Thankfully am still NED 18 months later. One of my symptoms was lower back pain which was really painful but this eased up after the op as it was obvious

HU10K - post-run thoughts
This is not really a run report, more of a musing about what to do next. As I couldn't do the run on Sunday I decided that yesterday morning would work for me. It's only my fifth 10k run (and my second after a hernia repair back in February which put me out of action for a couple of weeks). As expected

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
Now I have an
umbilical
hernia
due to the coughing which needs surgery. That is the least of my worries though .I dont fear pain/surgery but the feeling sometimes of being so breathless is quite scary.
