T.m.j. dysfunction, no voice and extra tired . I have been diagnosed with lupus for two years now and previously had steroid injections for flare up . is this the sign of a lupus flare? Just back from the docs and he said its not connected to lupus so wouldn't give me an injection . Advice please

Steroids
Having come off my meds, I found myself struggling badly so I hobbled along to the hospital today and apparently looked so desperate and pathetic that they fitted me in this afternoon! The nurse gave me a steroid injection (dignified!) and it's already working! I feel light and mobile and like me again

Advice and help please
Apologies for the long post, was wondering if anyone can help me........I am in such a debilitating state at the moment, cant walk, absolute zero brain function and fatigued beyond belief. I've lost my business, partner, nearly my house because of this flipping disease. I have normal thyroid results

22 hours into treatment...
Well here I am, 22 hours on from my first intra-muscular steroid injection and about to take my 2nd dose of hydroxychloroquine (here it is!)... And I must say, those steroids are doing their stuff! The swelling around my R knee has almost completely gone - I can bend it again - and my hands and wrists

Steroid injection for levator spasm
My colorectal surgeon is scheduling a steroid injection for levator spasm. Has this helped anyone? How is it different from Botox?

Relief
Isn't it a relief when you officially have an answer to the aches, more aches moans and groans, depression, anxiety, and the feeling that your not in control of our own body, when it feels as if it someone else, taken over your body, split in two,one good part and one bad, when my legs are not going in

ADULT ONSET STILLS DISEASE
Hi I was diagnosed 6 months ago with adult onset stills disease. Being a very active 40yr old it was a bit of a shock as I went downhill overnight with this condition. After 2 weeks of being really poorly I was admitted into hospital for what seemed like 1000 tests. Thanks though to a fantastic team

Feeling blue
On Monday at my rheumatology appointment the decision was made to stop my abatacept. If that wasn't bad enough I've actually tried everything else and I mean everything. For the last 14 months I've battled to control my immune system & it's won for now. You name it I've tried it. In the last 14 months

Coming off treatment.
Since being being on treatment for the last 4 months i can honestly say i feel no better, infact the side effects of methotrexate make me feel worse, with mouth ulcers and rapidly thinning hair, bruising and still very tired all the time. I saw the nurse today and asked about a steroid injection as when

Weakness in hands/wrists, especially in a morning
Hi there, my husband who is 51 was diagnosed with PMR on 1 October. We have quite a few questions that if anyone could help, we'd be really appreciative. The background is that mid June he thought he had stiff groins and slowly more and more joints became stiff and very painful until mid July his shoulders

Hi guys, I recently had an epidural steroid 3 days ago in regard to a buldging disc. It has increased my nerve pain in feet and I have been waking upon sweats last night. Has any of you found that initially pain is worse and then slowly after a few week the steroid helps. I have also had a steroid
