Colds and asthma
My husband is a severe asthmatic and has 5 weekly injected steroids. He has a very good respiratory consultant who is trying to reduce his steroid injection from 80 to 60. Every time we try this his peak flow suffers and he usually needs to top up with oral steroids mid cycle. Does anyone else have

Nerve pain in lower back
Hi everyone I am 51 years old and nearly five years ago my health changed dramatically when I developed a bladder condition that in turn has resulted in damaged nerves in my lower back. This nerve pain is vicious in nature and causes me to stay at home, doses up on strong painkillers. It is highly unpredictable

Alopecia
Hi, does anybody else have hair loss due to RA. I've got a bold patch around the temple area and when I googled it last night the word 'alopecia' came up and that it was an auti-immune problem. So, on top of everything else I'm going bald. I'm thoroughly depressed by this; seems there's no end to the

Pain in neck and behind ears
So last Thursday I woke up with horrendous pain in my shoulder and neck. I went to see the GP and he said it was muscle spasms, not related to RA and gave me some codeine. The pain died down but my neck stay stiff. This evening I'm in a lot of pain with my neck, it's stiff and I can't move it without

Steroid Injections
When I visited my rhummy nurse, she increased my Mtx dosage, she also offered a Steroid injection. I have heard such awful things about steroids, I said I would make do at the moment. Now, the pain and swelling in my hands and wrists is starting in my elbows, have I made a mistake by refusing.

Local Anaesthetic/Steroid Injection in the head with severe results.
Hi, I want to know if anyone has had a similar reaction to me when given a local anaesthetic mix steroid injection. It was six months a go now and I am still completely incapacitated. I had the injection at the back of my head on the left side, immediately afterwards, as I stood up to leave, I fell

Flare, flare, go away
So I posted that hydroxychloroquine was magic for me but over the last couple of weeks I've been hit with it all again. I thought HCQ had fixed me and that was that. I was 5 days without meds but I've had many days of flaring now. I'm struggling to work, sleep, live properly. I know I only have mild

Just diagnosed
Saw doctor yesterday , having had fibromyalgia for 6 years he now thinks I have RA. I have developed little lumps on finger joints, and have pain and stiffness. I'm finding it difficult to get warm. He gave me a steroid injection, hopefully this will help a bit. I'm shell shocked.

Had Knee aspirated last week due to another Bakers Cyst, another minor steroid injection, so no honeymoon there....keep taking the Sulfasalazine Liquid Suspension
