Hi Jeanielee, never heard of that before. Not sure which is prefer to be perfectly honest!

If I've to take steroids, which is not very often, I always take Prednisolone. That's the steroid tablets I have in my rescue pack.

What steroid were you injected with?

Hope you feel better soon 🌺

Hi not sure ,I recently move to Spain so my Spanish isn't great, it was certainly an experience, doc sent me in to nurse who was male he was chatting to a male doctor at the practice I removed my sleeve and nurse said no bottom , so there I was with my bum on show and they just carried on their conversation, good job I'm not shy lol

Hi jeannilee, I have had intravenous hydrocortisone through a cannula a few times when suffering a very bad asthma attack, and my daughter has had an injection too when she was very breathless.

Hope you feeling a bit better now, did you get oral pred as well.

Hi Knitter, no oral press but antibiotics and cough expectorant, had a funny night last night waking cold then hot but feel better this morning . Take Care

Sorry about this but couldn't resist ... quote " a steroid injection in my bum usually get tablet's" ... what in your bum, that's more unusual ! Sorry again it's my sense of humour.

Hope you see the funny side. x

Very droll ,liking your sense of humour, I can see I'm going to have to be careful how I phrase things in future,.....or maybe not a little titter does you good x

Hi nice to meet you...please don't be careful with how you phrase things. Thank you for getting it, my humour gets me into trouble sometimes. It did bring a smile to my face, which I so needed this morning. Hope this lot of anti- biotics do the trick this time for you. Do you take pre-biotics too? I have only recently learned it is best to. Best Wishes x

I don't take pre biotics at the moment but will look into them, do you find they help? X

in reply toJeanielee1

Yes and yes... I didn't know that whilst on long term anti biotics for rosacea ( stopped them now I know what they have been doing to me). Also PPi's have gone a long way to upsetting my digestive system..H Pylori ( just been eradicated, stomach ulcer and gall stones!) Stopped them also. I would so recommend pre and pro biotics. Your gut needs supporting, wish I'd known sooner. I buy my pre and pro biotic Fos from Healthspan. I'm gluten free also now, but still had a bad couple of days must have eaten something dodgy..can't think what, although I tried some mastic gum for my ulcer, it as put me off taking it again, will stick to what I know. I am in a vicious circle with health but am fighting it.

I take the pre and pro's everyday now even though not on any anti biotics at the moment.

Try them I'm sure they will benefit you x Take care .

No just the one, thankfully I'm going to research this though I find it very unusual

I've looked on line and one item I read said an injection is a rapid way of relieving symptoms, if your doc feels your distressed .

These could have been the j jections was getting when I was younger then? I haven't had one since 1981. For me they were quick acting and because I had spent weeks with little sleep I would sleep like a log for hours after the injection. Hope you are feeling better.
