Superficial inguinal ring pain??
Has anyone been diagnosed with a problem in their superficial inguinal ring and received a long acting local anaesthetic combined with a steroid injection as treatment to temporarily help reduce the pain? Did it work? I have two lumps below my bikini line which have been identified as pubic tubicles

RA progression
Hi, I have had RA 10 years now, and until just over a year ago have been pretty much Okay. I should mention that during that time I have been on Sulfasalazine. But since March last year it all started flaring up again and has now spread to my wrist and ankle, both of which are sore and painful, my

Pain in hips.
Hi everyone, this is my first post on here, but I've been following posts for some time, and gaining valuable knowledge from others. PMR diagnosed December 2016. Reducing slowly and successfully mostly. I got down to 4.5 mg preference in march, overdid exercise and started to get pain and stiffness in

Guided steroid injection into hip
Hi, Im going in as a day patient on Monday to have a guided steroid into my left hip. Ive had absolutely no information on this apart from being told to arrive at 7am. I've had hip injections before but not guided and although I'm normally stoic I'm feeling really anxious about it. Can anybody tell me

Slowly creeping back....
Hi all, I had some very kind words from the forum when I first was diagnosed, the rheumy team were fab at getting me walking again in a matter of days, as I was due to get married in las vegas. This meant alot of steroids, and and a steroid injection, straight on methotrexate etc... We made it to Vegas

Low cortisol, T3, TSH and steroid injection in hip joint: T3 uptake improved by steroid injection?
Hi All A whole new area for me to understand now (and a long post - sorry!). I am T3 only so my TSH is normally supressed. I have arthritis and bone spurs in my hips and was recommended a steroid injection into the joint of my right hip. This has worked really well so far, but I only had it last

Steriod injection
I had a steroid injection in my elbow back in June. The first period i had after was late and really heavy- mine are usually light and 3-4days long. This one was 8 days! I’ve had a break of a week and now another period! Is it linked to the steroid injection and if so why do they not tell you about

Frozen Shoulder
Hi. I'm not exactly new here. I was researching for my father's Parkinson's issues and found a lot of support. But since he passed away last year I haven't been back. Steroid injection for psa
Has anyone had a steroid injection in their buttock? Supposed to ease all joints. (Had cortisone ones before but they were injected into the actual joint) if you’ve had one has it been effective? Also were there any side effects?

Question about New Pain(s) with CPS
Hello, This is long and complicated, but I am hopeful for advice for next move. I'm experiencing a new pain; a neck/throat pain. It is a sharp cutting pain and sometimes excruciating. The x-ray came back as degenerative C3, C4, and C5. My doctor has offered no solution and referred me to pain management

Surgery for a herniated disc
I've had a herniated disc a few years ago . I was in agony for a year . Tried physio and a charopractor but it didn't work. They recommend surgery if it hasn't healed after 3 to 6 months . Which is what I did. It worked a treat . I was fine for 3 years after and enjoying life . But one day at work I
