Have I got Lupus
Hi Guys I have been having tests done as i have been suffering from pain for over a year now. Yesterday the doc said the Lupus test has come back positive. He gave me a steroid injection and said that will help for the next 6-8 weeks till i go back to see him. I'm confused, have I got Lupus?

Steroid injection
Had a steroid injection in buttocks this morning and already all the stiffness in my feet/ankles is gone and all the pain. What amazing stuff it is. Such a shame it is so damaging otherwise I would stay on it forever. Been in terrible pain everyday for 6 months and this is the first pain free day.

Do steroid injections interact thyroid meds?
Hi, I am suffering with tendon and muscle damage in my bicep which isn't improving. I am contemplating having a steroid injection but was wondering if it will cause any issues with my ndt? Thanks in advance Nat x

Steroid injection
Had one yesterday in my butt! Can't believe how much better I feel! Why can't we just have one of these every 6 weeks😂 yea I know it just masks the real problem, but god wouldn't it be bliss! If I've reacted so well to a low dosage steroid is that a good thing?

Laura, RA newbie, diagnosed November
Just found this group and hoping to improve my knowledge of RA (which is sketchy right now). I just had my second steroid injection (broad spectrum) to help whilst waiting for Hydroxychloroquine to kick in. I'm so happy that so far (4 days in), I'm not having any noticeable side effects. Looking forward

Waiting to start new meds.
I have been waiting for a few months now to start my new meds but because I have picked up a few infections they kept getting put off until I am well enough to start them. They won’t give me a steroid injection either until I’m fully better, my question is I’m sick of popping pain killers, after a while

New here and need help with next steps
Hello all! I am new here but have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for a couple of years. I feel like I am going round in circles. I am pretty sure B12 deficiency is causing at least some of my problems (strange sensations in my toes, balance problems, restless legs, infertility) and

Please Help....What do you think about pelvic floor steroid injections?
I am brand new here, and I need to make a decision in the next few days about whether or not to get pelvic floor steroid injections because I have an upcoming. My urogynecologist said that she wants to do the injections to calm the pelvic floor down so that I can better tolerate PT. I sought a second

How do I get off this cycle of madness
I'm sorry and glade that other people also suffer with this dreaded IBS and all the other problems I believe are associated. I have had sever lower back pain for years. First it was Pelvic inflammatory disease. Then a degenerative disk. Then IBS. Then I had a hysterectomy because of tumorous fibroids

Cold and chest infection
Hi everyone. Is it me, or does having RA mean that you can't get a cold without it being something much more serious. At the end of November/beginning of December I had a chest/throat/ear infection and had to have antibiotics. It was two weeks before I began to feel better, and three weeks before I felt

Steroid injection not working
Hi I got a steroid injection 5 days ago and last night I have got a horrible pain in left arm I can’t move it. Does anyone know if you can get oral steroids after such a short time after injection. I can’t go over Christmas in this pain. My rheumy advice line takes 3 days to return a call to advice

My first rheumatology appointment
I have read a few posts about appointments so I knew a little of what to expect at my appointment this morning. The consultant was very nice, and understanding. However, she asked what I thought the diagnosis of fibromyalgia would do for me, which threw me a bit, as I hadn’t realised it was an official

Struggling
Evening all.... I had an accident around 8 years ago now and initially had more problems with my lower back than my legs. Within around 6 months my back was starting to recover but very slowly and I was sent to have an epidural steroid injection. Very soon after this I was made aware this injection
