Steroids, MTX & Weight
I’ve struggled with my weight most of my life but since having a steroid injection in January (and one in spring last year) I cannot for the life of me shift any weight. I’ve changed my diet so much (no junk, rare treats, little sugar, lots of veg, fruit and fresh meat..) but I’m still stuck at the same

Tenosynovitis
Does anyone have experience with tenosynovitis and lymphoedema? I've had it in my pre-breast cancer/lymphedema days and used a splint. I've been advised not to use one with lymphoedema. GP says i need steroid injection, but very long waiting list. Advised going private. I'm a bit concerned about having

I had a bad fall on my right knee, over a year ago. Had it x-rayed but they said it's fine.
After x-ray, they said all good and I've had crutches, and braces etc. Since my GP put me on Statins, both legs and my knee have swollen beyond belief. I took myself off Statins and they went down but my knee is excruciating at times. I've had one steroid injection, which didn't seem to do much. Sometimes

Methotrexate
Hi everyone I am seeking some advice about methotrexate, I have RA and have been taking 200mg of hydroxychloroquine twice a day for 7 years and it was under control, then my rheumatologist cut it down to 200mg a day as he said it is now taken by weight and 400mg is to much, since then I have had swelling

Another medical problem
I've had pain in my right shoulder for years and had a steroid injection and physio with no effect. I was then diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I put the shoulder pain down to fibro. It is really bad now, in fact I nearly called for the emergency doctor to give me a morphine shot. I went to my gp yesterday

Help!!
I have had problems with my face on 3 separate occasions. I woke up with my face swollen like I had an allergic reaction. My fave was bright red and angry looking. I had to have a steroid injection to help it. It cleared up after a week. I am currently experiencing it again. My face is so red it looks

Pelvic pain and pain under right rib AFTER period
Hi. I am wondering whether anyone else has had similar symptoms as (so far) the doctors haven’t identified the cause. At one point endometriosis was mentioned hence me posting here. In the lead up to, and during my period I feel completely well and normal. However, the last day or so of my period (when

Strokes Again!! Update on mine and cerebral vasculitis.
I thought it was time I should give a wee update on how I have managed since my stroke at the end of October and it felt the right time as Katydid has just posted below about the same! I remember telling everyone it was diagnosed almost five weeks after the event, almost five months ago now ,and dismissed

GCA/PMR
After quite a busy seven days I went for a routine steroid injection to a very painful knee and my GP had just received a blood test from the hospital here in Plymouth and I had a score of 120 for something which he told me could and probably was GCA. He wanted to make sure and I went to our local hospital

Oh No.....
....totally by chance! I had an appointment with my GP (lovely man) and this was for a steroid injection in my knee. My bloods had just arrived from the main hospital and one of my scores was 120 where historically it had been 2. I am not sure what test this was. I also just received my CT head scan

Battling Atopic Dermatitis
I've been struggling with atopic dermatitis, or skin asthma as some may call it, ever since I was born. I grew up feeling conscious of my skin, going through a lot of steroid injections and medicines along the way. I've tried tons of oral and topical medications; some worked, some didn't. As of now,

I never ever mind waiting over my time, but GP was non apologetic, she just appeared a “bit off”I explained my problem

Stem Cell Treatment
Has anyone done Stem cell treatment for their MS and had success in reduction of their daily symptoms and/or delaying disease progression more? If you have any info on this treatment, I’d greatly appreciate it. I know it’s not approved in the US, and is very expensive too. It’s currently avail in Mexico

Hi all, I am hopefully having a Steroid Injection in my ''Spine Back'' in the next Month or so. Can anyone Please tell me, after I've had the Injection, how long it would be, before I'm able to drive about 3miles home.? Thanking you. Robbyp.
