as there is no report of any interactions, I am told i need to take
steroids
with food so I have them with breakfast (about 8 am).

Chest infection without steroids
Wondering if I should take my rescue
steroids
. I would rather not take them for the third time in four months. Does anyone ever take antibiotics but not the
steroids
? Last cold, it was worse and I hit 390 but maybe this time I will do so as well without
steroids
. thanks

Azithromycin
After weeks of oral antibiotics and
steroids
had to have IV antibiotics. Next time I will probably have to begin IV immediately on flare up. I take 250 mg Azithromycin 3 times a week and was wondering does any on this forum use stronger Azithromycin. I have Bronchiecstasis and Asthma!

Steroids and blood-sugar...
I wonder if the hunger and desire to eat that many people feel when they experience low blood-sugar may be the reason that people put on weight when on
steroids
. They feel hungry and they eat rather more than they actually need to correct the low blood-sugar.

throbbing ribs
Hi I have been completely off
steroids
since September 2023 for GCA. However I have developed throbbing joints especially in the evenings mainly in my ribs but the last few days in most of my body. It’s very uncomfortable and prevents sleep. Does it sound like a PMR symptom?

Hand/foot pain reduced movement.
I’m due to have an ultrasound of my hands in 2 weeks so my consultant doesn’t want me to have a course of
steroids
(the only thing that works for me to relieve pain) Has anyone got any suggestions to improve hand movement/ease pain in the interim?

Alternative days taper
I have stayed on 5mg
steroids
for 3 months due to another flare. I have been advised to taper 5mg one day then 4mg the day after for one month, then 4mg for a month then alternate days 4 mg and 3mg etc. She did say if this doesn’t work will look at methotrexate.

Another BFN with a top grade blastocyst …
I feel like we threw everything at this cycle - probiotics, extra progesterone, Intralipids,
steroids
, clexane too. Feeling totally deflated and wondering if it’s just ‘bad luck’ or there’s something more I should be doing.

Disappointed and worried
If he sticks to his diagnosis of Fibromyalgia he made it clear that he will reduce my
steroids
as quickly as he can and substitute them with either Pregabalin or Gabapentin.
