Covid Boosters

I am fairly lucky regarding my asthma as this period of spring/summer I rarely suffer flare ups. However having my Covid booster a couple of weeks ago triggered my asthma and this also occurred last year following the booster. I am therefore am very interested to know if anyone else has experienced a similar issue. I am currently on steroids to stabilise asthma. I look forward to any thought people may have.

Hi, sorry you're struggling currently. I had this same issue I was ill in bed for 5 days after each jab but took weeks to recover. Everyone reacts differently and needs to make their own informed decisions. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Fortunately all the jabs I've had, including the latest covid jab, have caused no problems to me, save a sore upper arm for a couple of days.

I can't even get a Covid booster, doc says they've run out! Would have one as no side effects last few. My asthma is kicking off lately so taking Cetirizine as probably triggered by Spring pollens etc. Was once told that a reaction to a vax shows your body is responding to an invasive entity thereby increasing its production of anti bodies to protect you from the full on virus. Hope your problem eases up soon. 🤞

I only had the first three jabs as my asthma not severe enough for any more, but I had a flareup with each one, although much more mildly than when I had actual Covid.

I developed asthma in October 2023. Never had it before. I have had all covid jabs and it has crossed my mind could the asthma have been a result of the jabs. No reaction after the jabs perhaps a sore arm. The fact that there can be no long term statistics from the vaccinations could be worrying.

I don't know if this will be reassuring or not, but you can also develop asthma from Covid - and my pre-vaccination Covid was 1,000 times worse than the post-vaccination bout I had!
