I have had some bad attacks over the last several months when I’m in a crowded place and it’s noisy, so much so that I’ve had to leave the building. I think I know what causes it having completed a first aid course in 1976 but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. It’s like a panic attack on steroids.
Thanks for any advice.
Hope you are all happy and well 👍🏻

🥴I totally understand..there have been occasions when I’ve almost abandoned my shopping in the middle of Tesco….and I’ve had this disorientating, overwhelming sensation elsewhere.
Bright lights-crowds-noise….all contribute.
For me..it used to happen regularly, thankfully not so much now…but there’s just no telling ‘if and when’. Now, I wear a sunvisor along with my tinted glasses (sometimes I’ve worn large sunglasses over these)..and on occasion Ear Plugs.
🤔 The nearest info I’ve found that best explains is…’Supermarket Syndrome’…but of course it isn’t only supermarkets that cause it.
🙄 The link failed

hi Paul, yes I have a huge issue with noise & crowds. I have some wonderful earplugs called Loop & wear them as a neckchain when going out. This allows me to go to restaurants & supermarkets etc which would normally be traumatic. Interesting to hear if others have this issue. xx
