Is it discoid lupus?
Hi fellow lupus warriors I posted a few weeks ago about an ulcer on my leg that wouldn't heal. After oral antibiotics that had no effect, the Dr found a stronger antibiotic cream that cleared up the infection. Hooray! But in the meantime I keep getting more bumps. I thought it was a coincidence,

asthma and the seaside
Hi everyone I really struggle in the summer with my asthma, have tried all sorts such as Xolair which didn't work for me (not eligible for the other biologics apparently) It seems I'm just expected to get by on
steroids
and staying indoors.

Skin problems at low dose
I was so happy to finally get down to 5mg after 4+ years PMR and GCA...though attempts to get below this are so far not working but I am being patient. However 6 weeks ago I woke up to an itchy rash on my back and still have it. Diagnosed via photos and text with gp (4 week wait for f2f appt) as eczema

My problem is not knowing what is causing the pain, I thought if I upped the
steroids
, and the pain went away, then it was a flare,, or I could drop the dose, and see if it gets worse.

Partner out of hospital
He is now out of hospital but on an awful lot of medication including
steroids
and tablets that suppress alcohol cravings. He has been diagnosed with Alcoholic Hepatitis for the second time in 2 years.

waiting for the result of a 24 urine test as possible hypercalcaemia
I’m guessing that the culprit is lithium but I’m wondering whether
steroids
can cause this ?

How is your skin?
I recall folks posting about skin issues and AMN a few years back, or did they? Never mind try this for size. Been going on for months and months now, When I'd get my head down on the pillow at night, within minutes it was like my head was crawling, the itching would soon start, heating up. Couldn't

COVID-19 immune cell vaccine eases SLE symptoms in girl: Report
She also received intravenous
steroids
followed by intravenous immunoglobulin, an approach meant to block self-reactive antibodies in the blood. However, her symptoms persisted. She went home without further treatment against medical advice.

Asthmatic, keep getting chest infections
I'm just finishing my third lot of antibiotics and second lot of
steroids
. I also had a nebuliser in A&E last Friday. They also did an X-ray which showed the healing bacterial infection.

Carbimazole
I am taking
steroids
which I know causes bruising, but since starting Carbimazole this has become much worse, with constant bleeding into the tissues if I even think about bumping into anything! Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks 😊

Anxiety about all the immune based meds
Recommendations for me are IVIG,
steroids
, clexane, asprin and intramuscular progesterone. I had an array of tests done which showed high NK cells and cytokines and an issue with the blood hence this medley.

but I am only on 2mg. Is there anything I can do to improve this reading? I rarely catch anything including my husband's odd cold.
