Carbimazole
Unusual bruising should always be discussed with GP / Specialist.
Have the patient information leaflet (PIL) with you.
The manufacturers PIL must be dispensed with each prescription. Something like this…medicines.org.uk/emc/files/...
Many will say: Important: carbimazole can cause a rare but serious side-effect which reduces the numbers of blood cells which fight infection and help to stop bleeding. If you develop any of the following, let your doctor know straightaway:
A sore throat.
Mouth ulcers.
high temperature (fever).
Any unusual bruising or bleeding.
If you feel unusually tired, or if you feel you are getting an infection.
There is also an alert card. Some hospitals have to hand out.

What dose do you currently take?
How long have you been taking carbimazole?
Have you stopped & restarted. New side affects can occur earth time you restart.
